Subject: Reservoir Dogs sticker

Hey everybody,
Yesterday I went to the mall, and we have a store called Hot Topic, maybe
there's one where some of you guys live, anyway they had a cool sticker there.
It's from Reservoir Dogs, it's a picture of the dogs walking, you know that
still that's not really in the movie but is everywhere anyway. And it says
Doggy Style and underneath that it says Serial Killer. Steve looks so cute!!
Anyway, if you guys have a Hot Topic, check the glass cases where the stickers
are!!

Subject: Movieline pronunciation

Hi everyone,

I bought that Movieline that Marni posted about. There's a page in there
where it gives the pronunciation of different stars names and Steve is one of
them. I don't have the magazine with me right now though so I don't know what
page it is, I'm not home right now. Maybe if Marni has it she can add the
page number before this letter goes through #:-) (thanks). If not, just thumb
through and look for a page with pictures of Ben Affleck and Charlize Theron.

Anyway. it says his name is pronounced Buss-em-mi and should not be pronounced
Bush-em-mi (?) I thought it was Boo-shem-mi?!?

Also did you guys know that there are authors (supposedly of no relation to
our boy) with the last name Buscemi? I didn't think it was that common.
That's not in Movieline though I just found it at the bookstore.

Hi everyone,

There haven't been that many posts on the list lately, there's hasn't been
much info on Steve recently. But while we all anxiously await Armaggedon why
don't we start the Question of the Day again?

Take any movie that Steve was not in, and tell which character you would cast
him as (and why).

Would he be Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights?(hee hee) Or maybe Jack Dawson in
Titanic? Or maybe Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber?

ok I got it.. the best movie in the 80's was the breakfast club so why
not put him in the roll as John Bender......(that would be funny)

or in the movie Clue "prof. Plum (Christopher Lloyds role)

I think it would have been interesting to see him play the Cowardly Lion
in _The Wizard of Oz_. After all, this was his first role in the 4th
grade play. This would be a great display of how talented he truly is.

The only Buscemi's I know of are Steve and his relatives, but there
are John and Sal Buscema (father and son), two very famous comic book
artists.

Hey --

Rich is correct, the huge Steve pic that I saw was from Armageddon.
There were also a couple other ones with Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis
some of the movies' other stars on them. They also had captions under
the pictures, but I can only remember two of them. The one under
Steve's said "He's in for the money," and the one under Liv Tyler's
said "She's in it for love."
These may not be the exact quotes, but they're close enough.

anyway, i was a little bit confused at the end. who shot who? <- like when mr
orange, mr white, nice guy eddie, and joe were all shot. plus what happened
to steve? btw, i thought steve looked totally great as mr pink :)
julie

{The sequence of who shot who in the end is as follows:
	Joe shoots Mr. Orange
	Mr. White shoots Joe
Nice Guy Eddie shoots Mr. White
Mr. White turns and shoots Nice Guy Eddie

As for what happened to Mr. Pink, there has been discussion at great
length on the alt.fan.tarantino newsgroup over this very question. Nobody
is really sure what happens. But if you turn the volume up very loud (or
see the film in a theatre), you hear Mr. Pink tell the cops outside not to
shoot him; and, subsequently, he tells them that he's been shot. The
actual transcript of this is on one (or more) of the Reservoir
Dogs/Tarantino homepages. MH}

From: "Rich"
Subject: What happened to Pink?

For those who are interested...

The following is a transcript of the exterior noise and dialogue from
the moment Mr. Pink exits the garage. All the following dialogue is
confirmed as accurate.

MR. PINK LEAVES WITH THE BAG OF DIAMONDS

SOUND - car door (Mr. Pink getting in a car)
SOUND - engine (He has trouble getting it started)
SOUND - Engine starts, tires squeal (Off he goes!)
SOUND - More tire squealing, shots (Here come the cops!)
SOUND - Lots more tire squealing, sirens, and shots (Mr. Pink probably
puts up a fight)

Sometime during this shoot out, Mr. Pink's car apparently gets stopped
because the next thing we hear is cops, guns obviously trained on him,
shouting.

COP - "Get out of the car!"
COP - "Get your hands on the dash!"
COP - "Throw the gun out!"

The cops apparently don't have a real clear idea what they want him to
do, or in what order, but it sounds like they've got him. The next
line confirms this.

MR. PINK - "Don't shoot, I've been shot goddamnit!"

Oh no, not even the super-cool Mr. Pink gets through the movie
unscathed. Rest assured, though, his wound doesn't sound too bad. In
fact, he sounds more pissed off than wounded.

At this point, Mr. White's moaning over Mr. Orange's admission
completely obscures what's happening outside. After he quiets down a
bit, we can hear more...

COP - "Don't move!"
COP - "Don't fucking move!"

The cops are still shouting, but they sound a little calmer, like Mr.
Pink is complying.

COP - "Are you a cop killer? Did you kill a cop?"

If they're asking him this, it's safe to say they've got him unarmed,
out of the car, and on the ground. The final bit of dialogue caps it.

COP - "Get your hands behind your back!"

On go the cuffs, and poor Mr. Pink gets to take the rap for the pile
of bodies produced that afternoon.

I know that he lives in TFtD. In fact, he's laughing because of the
stupidity of Christian Slater's character.

Other projects that he's died in are: The Last Outlaw, Barton Fink if you
believe he went up in flames with the hotel, Lonesome Dove, Heart, Tales
>From the Crypt, and Homicide: Life on the Streets.

He doesn't die in Things to Do In Denver When You're Dead, as far as I

He does die in Things to do in Denver When You're Dead (playing
Mr Shhh). He is shot by "Critical" Bill Dooley whilst breaking into
Bill's apartment. However, Critical Bill is also killed as he stands
over Mr Shhh, having failed to notice the small pistol in the dying
man's hands.

Does he die in Mystery Train? The last we see of him he is
wounded in the back of a truck. It doesn't actually show him dying,
though.
Also, in Parting Glances, doesn't his character die in that film
too? It's been a while since I watched it.
That's about all I can remember for the moment.

OK, I just checked on Mystery Train and Parting Glances. In Mystery
Train Steve gets shot in the leg, so he'll probably survive (although
people have died from being shot in the leg!). In Parting Glances his
character has AIDS, so presumably he dies. Anyway, neither film shows
him dying, so they don't really count.

I'm sending this to the list because I feel that others may feel the same
way. My only response to this is that we did put in descriptive subject
lines and stated that there were spoilers. I try to remember to change
the subject lines to fit the message, if it's necessary. I even went back
to make sure that I had changed the subject lines on the posts this
message (following my thoughts) is regarding, and sure enough, the word
spoilers was in the title. A number of them even alluded to the idea that
Steve had died in movies.

The moral of my spiel: 1) Give an appropriate subject line and make sure
you let us know if there are spoilers involved. 2) Read the subject lines

I don't know whether I'm writing to the right person here....I've never
contributed to the digest before. I just wanted to say that Steve Buscemi's
character DOES die in "Things to Do In Denver When You're Dead".

He get's shot by "Critical Bill" I think he's called, with a shot gun, when
he tries to kill him in his bed. Steve's character does shoot Bill after
sustaining his wound, but I think he dies just after that.

okay....that's all

Yes Steve DOES die in Thing To Do... exactly the way it is stated
here...Critical Bill is locked up in his apartment for days trying to avoid Mr.
Shhh then finally Mr. Shhh gets in and tries to stab in while in bed yet all we
see is the dead dog, then Bill come out from behind and yells..."I am godzilla,
you are Japan!!!!!" (which is one of my favorite lines) and shoots Mr.
Shhh..... is this bringing back anything for people?

Hey all you crazy Steve fans,
The other day, I gave a presentation in my "Meaning of Death"

speech Steve's character gives to his mother). Anyway, as my boyfriend
and I were scanning my copy of it, we came across the trailer for the
movie! We rewound it to just after the credits and found some unedited
footage! We were so surprised and excited to see these extra clips!
One was from the opening scene with the guy going up the stairs, another
was actually edited, but without sound (the part in court right before
it goes into color) and the other was a wonderful closeup of Steve doing
a eye-pop take from the last scene in the movie. Has anyone else seen
this stuff? I must have viewed the tape about five times before finding
this. If you haven't, fast forward about thirty seconds after the
credits. Please let me know either way. It's just so odd to find such
great footage on a home video!
Take care and happy viewing,
