I'm sorry, guys. I forgot to tell you what time zones. If it's ok with
everyone, how about 9:00 P.M for all time zones. The days we will have it
will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays, that should be cool everyone.

Subject: Re: IRC chat? (No Steve Content)

{Marni Hager wrote a little about how a talker works, and asked Herb if
he'd like to try and explain it a bit more for those who might be
interested in getting on one for a Steve talk. MH}

Marni: no, not really, but here it is anyway :b

A talker is like a mud, but without the killing/role playing. Those of
you familiar with unix and vax are likely to already understand the
concept of telnet. When you telnet, you're making a connection from your
computer to the computer you're telnetting to. Once you're connected, you
go through a process known as logging on, which is simply entering your
username and password, if you have an account, or in the case of a talker
or the like, a character.

Talkers are entirely text-based, in other words, no multi-media, no
fancy guis. Although, like the web, you can use various means/interfaces
to connect to talkers. Windows 95/nt both come with telnet, although it's
not the greatest client. I'm not sure what else to add, but I'll gladly
answer any questions, if you want to direct them to me.

Has anyone watched any of Steve's movies in DVD? I've been thinking about
buying a DVD player for my PC, that I can also hook up to the TV. I'm
curious as to whether it's significantly better than video tape.

Ok, quick question. When sending a letter to Steve do I have to send a
self addressed stamped envelope along as well?

Subject: Empire's Armageddon article

I'm not sure if someone has mentioned this already, but the september issue
of the british movie-mag Empire has an Armageddon-related interview with
Bruce Willis, Liv Tyler, Jerry Bruckheimer, Michael Bay and Steve.
It's on pages 62-71, has one picture of Steve and he actually gets to talk
a little. Considering this is about Armageddon, it's not very interesting,
just the same stuff he's said everywhere else about the movie, but still...

And while I'm on the subject, Steve was interviewed for a finnish
television show while he was at Cannes. That was about Armageddon also,
but I'm still pretty pissed that I didn't get it on tape. (It wasn't long,
but he really isn't that much on tv, at least not here.)

I just saw Armageddon for the fourth time last night. I saw Trusting
Beatrice on Thursday night, and finally, I saw Billy Madison on Friday
night. I heard someone say somewhere, that although Steve's role in Billy
Madison was short in Billy Madison was small, it was fitting. I guess I
could agree. I thought he was cute in Trusting Beatrice. I can't find Ed
And His Dead Mother OR New York Stories! Help!

Today is my birthday, and I wrote a letter to Buscemi about two weeks
ago. I'm hoping he'll write back! =) I'll keep you posted.

Hi everyone,

There's a little pic of Steve in Details magazine on page 74. It's the one
with Pamela Anderson on the cover. Here's the ittle blurb that goes along
with the pic.

Lounge Lizard: Is Steve Buscemi having Sinatra delusion? After his killer
rendition of Spandau Ballet's "True" in The Wedding Singer, Buscemi belts out
"The Nearness of You" while playing Happy Franks, a Depression-era crooner
with suicidal tendencies, in The Imposters, the new ode to screwball comedies
directed by Big Night's Stanley Tucci.

Hi, I don't know where all of you are from, but I'm from Australia,
Sydney. Here no-one knows who Stevie is, except for my sister and I who
rave about him and absolutely adore him. We have to explain that he's
the genius in Armageddon before anyone knows. They don't recall seeing
him in any other movies either. They're all blind!! Steve is a babe and
I love him!!!!!!

Toronto... and I missed him?!?! Say it ain't so! I'm going to be in
denial, and hope that interview was done in LA or something..heehee :)

Would greatly appreciated any recommendations. Thanks

I'm sorry I haven't replied in a while. My family and I had to make a big

got us somewhat.

Anyway, I'm so glad Armageddon is coming out on video. I'm definetly going to
buy it!

Hi Everyone,

If you want to chat on IRC, make sure you use DALnet. The people at EFnet
are not interested in Buscemi one way or another, and will only trash you
for logging on.

On a better note: Now that I know the site for DALnet (irc.dal.net), I'll
be logging in frequently if anyone wants to chat.
