Hey everybody,

I just saw Somebody To Love. We rented it. Steve is dressed as a women for
the entire film. He looks better than me. What's cool is they have an "In
The Soup" poster in the background in one of the scenes. Steve sings a song
with Rosie Perez and he sounds really really good. He could have been a
singer. It was really freaky seeing him as a women for the entire film since
I think he's so hot as a guy. Well, that's about it.

Does anyone remember the first time they saw Steve in anything....and it
started your obsession/appreciation. Though it would make an interesting
topic. The first time I saw him was in 1994 when cinemax played "Twenty
Bucks". I thought "who is that guy" and then when I saw him a few months later
in "Ed and His Dead Mother"
that sealed it. I was obsessed. I had to buy books about Quentin Tarantino
just to get Steve pictures. I started my little Buscemi picture
collection....and it was so much fun to come across him in a magazine. It was
great to drive all over looking for the one theatre playing the film he was
in. Ah....it's the little joys in life. I've always loved kooky little films
like "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" and "Shakes the Clown"
and when he's in a kooky little film it just adds so much more. I love his
mannerisms and voice. The Mighty Busc-yummi.

interesting. :) I'd recommend seeing it.

Steve is in one of the "segments", in a fairly big part. He plays
a small-time crook who gets conned by Christopher Lloyd's character.

So I got the Armageddon and Wedding Singer soundtracks today, and they have
nice Steve pics. I also saw Armageddon for the fourth time on Saturday. It's
still great; Steve is of course the best part. Does anyone know what was
printed on his shirt in the beginning when he was on the oil rig?

I heard from one of my friends that Steve was directing Jim Carrey's next
film. Does anyone know if that's true?

So where did everyone go? On vacation? And if there are over 100 people on
this list, how come only about 10 or 15 people ever write anything?

I comtinue with my tireless search of the Rockhound poster, but to no avail.
I called literally every poster shop in San Francisco today and NO ONE had it.
So now I'm trying the city of Hollywood; they're sure to have it, I hope! If
anyone has ANY information on the location of this poster, it would be
extremely appreciated!

Sometimes before I go to sleep at night I like to watch Steve's segment of

those two together so well. I only saw the rest of the movie once, so I don't
really remember it. Brendan Fraser's in it, though, cause I see him when I'm

To be honest, it was someone else's obsession that started my appreciation.
I saw him in Airheads, Billy Madison and Vibes before I was aware of who he
was. Then after seeing him in Escape From LA, and wandering around in LA
with Marni looking for posters from his movies, I started becoming
interested in him. Then I got Resevoir Dogs for Xmas and that clinched it.

Parting Glances is *most definitely* worth viewing for Steve's role.
Personally, I enjoyed the movie, but critics didn't agree as far as I've
been able to tell. His role is about 1/3 of the entire movie, but it's
spread out. And he is the last thing we get to see.

In addition, here are two other interesting notes:
1) PG was his first major role in a film.
2) PG is his favorite (at least until '97 or so) role. He told this to
Brad on IFC's tv show called Split Screen.

Steve's role is in the best segment of this movie. Unfortunately, it's
only about 15-20 minutes long, and it's in the middle of the movie. The
film itself is ok, but I got bored with it after Steve's part. There is
just so much one can do while following a $20 bill change hands.

Big Lebowski is coming out soon! Do you think that Blockbuster might

Parting Glances-
I very recently saw Parting Glances, and it was pretty good. I thought Steve
was really HOT and he played a good role. I would rent it again. Too bad he
isn't in more of it.

The Wedding Singer Soudtrack-
The Wedding Singer (Vol. 1) has a pic of Steve as the best man on the back of
the CD, and one of him playing guitar in the cover. It's really funny and
cute. Does anyone know if there are any Steve pics in Vol. 2?

SNL-
They have already played his episode twice, so they may never play it again,
except on Comedy Central, but that won't be for another few years cuz it's
pretty recent. Hopefully they'll play it again once the season starts...
hopefully.

Becoming a Fan-
I always like Steve in Con-Air and Fargo, but I wasn't a true fan until I saw

My tastes seem to run opposite the majority of this list with regard to
what I like and don't like. I couldn't stand Search for One-Eye Jimmy.
I only managed to get through it because of the fact Steve was in the
movie. (Well, ok, the guy that played Les was pretty cool, too.) I
wouldn't call this a "classic Steve role."

The "classic (or definitive, IMO) Steve roles" are:

Tommy Basilio (Trees Lounge)
Mr. Pink (Reservoir Dogs)
Gordon Pratt (Homicide: Life on the Street)
The Father (Black Kites - a film by his wife, his character has no name)
Ed Chilton (Ed and His Dead Mother - possibly his best comedic role)
Nick Spangler (Parting Glances)
Adolfo Rollo (In the Soup - I need to see this one again)

For everyone who asks, these are the absolute must-see films and tv shows
that I recommend. Everything else is a small role or just not worth it.

actually read about goof-ups at the internet movie database. I can't remember
the address but somebody posted it a couple letters back.

And to Laura who posted the first letter, don't worry, we know you're not
criticizing Steve. Those are interesting things that speaking for myself I
like to know about.

What is IRC, how do I get there? I don't understand. I went to an IRC site
and searched the channels for #Buscemi and they couldn't find anything. Can
anyone help me? Please? Thanks

Subject: getting a copy of Trees Lounge

Hi everyone,

I got my copy of Trees Lounge at the Wherehouse. It was used (but still
practically brand new) and I payed I think it was $7.97 plus tax. So check
your video stores and the music stores that rent movies for used copies. On
mine the cover is perfect and there's absolutley nothing to make you think
that it was used so they are usually in pretty good condition.

If anyone would like me to check and see if they have anymore copies you can
e-mail me personally about it (not to the list). However, I make no promises
because this was a long time ago. Also, if you are interested please e-mail
me as soon as possible because it will be first come first serve in order to
be fair. I will also check blockbuster and stuff to see if they are selling
used copies, but I'm sure the prices will vary from store to store.

Why does trees lounge cost so much? $82.99!
is it like one of those laser discs or something?
can you getr it cheaper any where else?

{Tricia and I have both posted messages about how one might possibly get a
copy of the movie at a cheaper price. As for cost, much of it is based on
what they expect the demand to be. Since "indie" films are less popular,
generally, they cost a lot. Thus, Trees Lounge is at an exhorbitant
price.  MH}

Subject: steve's middle name?

Hi everyone,

I know I asked this before but no one responded. Does anybody know Steve's
middle name or even just his middle initial. Thanks.

mIRC (IRC) is a chat network. You can get mIRC 5.3 by downloading it from
the internet. I think the address is www.mirc.com. Once you install it, you
need to get on the DAL NET server (which should be in your setup) and then
go to the room #Buscemi. I just started
the room so there may not be in many people in it yet.

Subject: Are you compatible with Steve???

I was flipping through this book called "Love and War Between the Signs", by
Amy Keehn, and I decided to look up Steve's sign.

Now if you are an avid Steve fan, you would know that his b-day is on Dec.
13--that makes him a Sagittarius. Well, according to this book, the
Sagittarius is an "emotional element" and a fire sign. That means that Steve
is supposedly:

confident
enthusiastic
dynamic
Passionate
idealistic
futuristic
confrontive
impulsive
a perfectionist
intense

Under his sign, he is considered an intense feeler. Those signs that are
emotionally compatible with Steve's Sagitarrious are:

(under the fire signs)

Aries
Leo (me--ha ha!)
Sagittarius

(under the water signs)

Cancer
Scorpio
Pisces

I am sorry to those who aren't considered "compatible" with Steve. But then
again...I just got this from a book, so what do I know, huh?
