Hi Everyone,
We still do exist. I'm hoping that I can get people to start contributing to this list soon. To try and get things going, I am posing this question: Which Steve movies do you wish/need to see?
My answer: Arena Brains, Borders, Coffee and Cigarettes II, Force of Circumstance, No Picnic, Sleepwalk, Somebody to Love, and The Way It Is. (And, of course, anything that hasn't been released yet.)
Has anyone been able to see any of these? I've been hunting for several of these all over, esp. Somebody to Love, and haven't had any success at this point. If you have seen any of these, let the rest of us know how much of the film he's in.
Marni
P.S.- if you DO NOT want anything sent out to everyone on the mailing list, be sure to let me know. Otherwise I'll assume it's for everyone.
Hi again,
Has anyone else seen the preview for Armageddon? I believe that I saw it on Entertainment Tonight. I also know that it is available over the 'net, but don't have the site handy. If you go to imdb.com and search for the film, you should be able to follow the "official sites" links.
Anyway, I wasn't too impressed with the preview. The story looks like a standard disaster-of-the-week movie. But it seems to me that Steve gets the good one-liners once again. Of course, that's not too surprising if Scott Rosenberg did the screenplay for it. (He's the same guy who did Con Air.)
My one really big complaint about the movie without having seen the full film: Why did they have to put Steve in a really bad lime-green shirt? It's not the shirt as much as the color. *sigh* But, at least, he has short hair. (Yes, I can be just as picky as everyone else.)
Marni
I was just checking the TV Now listings for Steve, and thought this might be of interest to those of you that have access to the SciFi channel.

Out of your list, I've only seen Somebody to Love. Total screen time -- about 30 minutes (maybe). He plays a transvestite taxi dancer, and he sings a capella at one point. The movie itself is OK, but he's really good. And he makes a damned fine woman if I do say so myself.

Well, all of them of course. :) But as to which I'd really want to see, but for some reason can't, my list would be about the same as yours. Steve's first independent movies from the 80's seem to be really hard to find.
>Has anyone been able to see any of these? I've been hunting for several of these all over, esp. Somebody to Love, and haven't had any success at this point.
Somebody to Love shouldn't be too hard to find, considering it was made in 1995. I haven't seen it, though.

More importantly, Scott Rosenberg wrote Gary Fleder's first movie, Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead, which was a great movie. Steve also had a great, though small, part in it (as the hitman Mr. Shhh).

Does anyone know anything about this series? IMDB didn't have anything on it. It seems to be a horror show in the same style as Tales from the Crypt.
BTW, Steve was in Tales from the Crypt, too. :)

I would compare this show more to Tales From the Darkside, rather than Tales From the Crypt. Granted I've only seen the episode with Steve, it appears to me that the show is a bit more simplistic overall compared to Crypt. Other than that, I can't really tell you much. Also, I just checked the IMDB, and they did have a link to an episode guide for the show. I would try altavista or hotbot next. (I probably will for you. ;-)
> BTW, Steve was in Tales from the Crypt, too. :)
Yeah, I know, and now I'm kicking myself for not having taped it when I saw it. It was a great night here in Los Angeles, they show two episodes a night, and the first episode was the one with Tim Roth as a painter. I was thinking how cool it would be if the next one were the one with Steve, and sure enough, it was. How could I be so stupid as to not tape it when I had the chance? *sigh*
Marni
Hi,
I'm SO glad to hear that others are frustrated by attempts to see those very same titles! I believe I could add a couple to it, but offhand I can't remember which. I haven't even heard of "Arena Brains;" what is that one?
I have seen "Somebody to Love." I found it in the new releases section (about six months ago) of my local po-dunk video store, so I wasn't aware it might be obscure. It's a strange one...Steve plays a transvestite. I didn't even recognize him at first! Aside from the gender change, this character isn't particularly intriguing (and doesn't have nearly enough scenes!).
Best wishes on finding those impossible titles. You're not alone.
--Marie
Hi again,
I forgot to ask: Was anyone else heartbroken that "The Big Lebowski" did not open on Christmas Day, as scheduled? I wasn't paying close enough attention and didn't realize the release date has been changed to March. Very sad.
Marie
I mentioned "Arena Brains" in an earlier post, and Maria asked what that one was about. Well, unfortunately, neither I nor my video guide know. I've only seen the title on Kym Banoczi's web page. (Did you ever get confirmation that he was in this?) Several other movies that aren't listed in the guide are "Force of Circumstance," "The Way It Is," "Coffee and Cigarettes II," and "Borders."
One really important note about a title that I've seen on several web pages: Steve was NOT in _The Immortals_ with Eric Roberts and Kieran Mulroney (Dermot's younger brother). I rented this, and never saw him, nor was his name in credits.
Steve was in _The Grifters_ as John Cusack's boss UNTIL it came time to edit the film. So, unless there's a director's cut of this film, we'll never get to see him in this.
Along with _The Grifters_, it has been rumored that Steve was in _Even Cowgirls Get the Blues_ until the editing room. (Does anyone remember if they've seen this in print anywhere? I'm looking for definitive proof of this. And, speaking of definitive proof, I'd still like some that he DID play the bartender in _Dead Man_.)
A description of "Borders" can be found through a link on Liisa's page (http://members.aol.com/~kultmembr/contents.htm). Unfortunately, I'm not willing to buy this film, so I won't be seeing it unless I can find a copy some other way.
"Sleepwalk" is where I finally found the connection between Steve and Sara Driver (who wrote and/or directed _Monsters_ with Steve in it). It turns out that she was the director of this one. This is the full description found in my guide:
"Odd independent effort about a bored New York desk worker who is given an ancient text of Chinese fairy tales to translate, and finds they're manifesting themselves in dangerous ways in real life. Cinematography by Jim Jarmusch and Franz Prinzi. 1988 (R) 78m/C Suzanne Fletcher, Ann Magnuson; D: Sara Driver. VHS, Beta $19.98 SUE, MLC, ICA (places they can be bought from) 2 bones (out of 4 - "May be perfectly delightful for certain tastes. A waste of time for others.")"
A description of "Black Kites" and a picture of Jo Andres (Steve's wife) can be found at: http://www.hrw.org/iff/filmae/andr.html.
I suppose I should give out Kym's webpage address to since I made reference to it: http://dancy.franz.com/~virago. (This is the NEW address of the Steve Buscemi Worship Page.)
Hopefully neither Kym nor Liisa will kill me for giving out their webpages or their names. ;-)
If you have any other questions about any movies Steve has been in, just ask. I'm sure someone on this list has seen or heard about whatever you want to know.
Marni
I'm thrilled to have my website mentioned (and thanks for Kym's new address -- I must update my st now).
As for Steve's filmography, I was driving down Sunset Blvd. today (the section where they have all the huge billboards that they always show in movies), and guess who I saw? The billboard for The Big Lebowski!!!!! It has all the main characters -- including Mr. Buscemi. I'm going back and taking a picture tomorrow, so I will be posting it on my site within the week. He looks too cute for words. :-)
As for hard to find Steve movies, unfortunately they're usually at "artsy" video stores (and even then they sometimes don't exist). If anyone is interested in purchasing hard-to-find videos, however, there are a handful of mail order houses that specialize in rare prints, indie flicks, and hard-to- finds.
- Liisa
Hi, everyone my name is Kelly, and I'm new here. As far as Steve's filmography goes, I don't believe he was in "Immortals," "Dead Man," or "Even Cowgirls Get The Blues" either. As soon as I heard that he was supposedly in "Immortals" I ran out to rent it, high on the possibility of seeing a Steve movie that I hadn't yet seen. Boy, was I pissed when I saw that he wasn't in it. Whoever credited him with that film wasn't very observant -- I think that they thought that that goofy looking guy with the big eyes was Steve. What an insult!!!!!! And I rented "Dead Man" before I even knew that Steve was supposed to be in it! After I found that out, I rented it again. I'm sorry, but that old-ass bartender cannot possibly be Steve!!!! God, if that *is* Steve they sure made him look old!! "Arena Brains" is also listed on his filmography at IMDb (us.imdb.com). I actually found a description of that film somewhere on the web (sorry -- I can't remember where). It's a 1989 performance art/documentary type film. I think that it's about an hour long, and it has other arstsy type people featured -- like Eric Bogosian(sp?). I have a question for you guys, have you ever heard of a movie called "Pistolero" that he's supposed to be in? I hadn't heard of it until several months ago when I was in a library and I came across a book that listed actors and the movies that they made (the book was about 2 years old). I looked Steve up in the book, not expecting to see any titles that I hadn't already known about, and "Pistolero" caught my eye. Since then, I haven't seen it listed anywhere -- I'm starting to think that I imagined it! There is also a movie called "Me and The Mob" that Steve is supposed to have a cameo in (this is in the Blockbuster Video Guide and at the Motion Picture Database, or M.P.D. which you can reach through T.V. Guide online -- www.tvguide.com). The M.P.D. also has the descriptions of most of his films, including "Force of Circumstance" and "Sleepwalk" (I think). Everyone who hasn't seen "Sleepwalk" will do fine without seeing it. The movie is stupid, and Steve's part is *tiny*. He has three lines at the MOST. The movies of Steve's that I need to see are:
NO PICNIC
THE WAY IT IS
FORCE OF CIRCUMSTANCE
COFFEE & CIGARETTES II
BORDERS
ARENA BRAINS
ME AND THE MOB
PISTOLERO (If he's even in it)
And, of course all of his films that have yet to be released.
Check ya later,
Kelly
P.S. Do you think "Louis et Frank" will go straight to video like "Somebody To Love", which is also a Alexandre Rockwell film?
Yes, I spend way too much time on the computer. It should taper off once school starts again on Thursday. Until then, I'll keep screwing around. Of course, if I'm stupid, I'll play on the net during my work hours in the computer lab. (But that's all a different story.)
Anyway, I just looked up _Pistolero_ at the IMDB, and it didn't have anything dated after 1970, so I'm wondering if it's a working title for _Desperado_ or something.
While I was at the IMDB, I looked up _Me and the Mob_, and it said that the name of the film is actually _Who Do I Gotta Kill?_.
Hopefully this will help one of us poor devoted Steve fans. ;-)

Last message from me tonight, I promise.
First, I want to apologize for having everyone's address visible on the last message. I'm human, and make mistakes. Unfortunately, having the list aliased makes errors like this one very likely if I don't remember what I'm doing. Please accept my apology on this matter.
Last, I wanted to let everyone know that I have been archiving the mail that goes through this list. It has been done by each month. If there is anything that you would like to receive because you weren't on the list, or you just want to be refreshed, let me know. Hopefully I'll be able to put this up at my website when I get back to school. Until Wed. night, only Dec 1997 and Jan 1998 will be available. (Of course, there wasn't much traffic before tonight.)
Marni
Kelly again, I forgot a couple of things. Firstly, another movie of Steve's that I haven't seen is "Trusting Beatrice." To those who have seen it -- is it any good?
Secondly, I now know where some info on "Arena Brains" is other than at the IMDb. Go to www.videoflicks.com and search titles under ARENA BRAINS or 'ROBERT LONGO - ARENA BRAINS'. If you go there you will find that I was wrong about a few things. It was made (or released) in 1988 not 1989, and it's 35 minutes long, which is no where near the hour the I initially estimated. Here's a little bit more info about it: it costs $19.98 and is a music & performance art film -- "THIS IS A SOCIAL COMMENTARY ON CITY LIFE WITH BACKGROUND MUSIC..." Besides Steve, some of the other people featured are Eric Bogosian, Ray Liotta, John Michael Stipe, and Sean Young.
Check ya later,
Kelly
P.S. I recently read that instead of the April release for "The Impostors" (Ship of Fools was the working title) that was reported in EW, the movie may not be out until the Fall. Any confirmations on this?

Well, I guess there's not that much to know about it. :) It seems to me it's a very basic horror anthology series.

Is this series the 1988 "Monsters"? For some reason I thought this series was a new one, more like 1996 or 1997 than 1988.
{Moderator's Note: Yes, this is the 1988 series.}

I have it on tape as well as other episodes of Crypt. I did almost miss it, though. I wasn't prepared to tape it, but then just a few minutes before it begun I heard what episode it was and rushed to get the tape in the VCR.
And now they're showing the whole series again here in Finland. :)
>It was a great night here in Los Angeles, they show two episodes a night, and the first episode was the one with Tim Roth as a painter.
That was a good episode, too. In fact, I think it was a better one overall than the one Steve was in, which was a very basic episode. Roth's episode had a much better plot.

I think so too. Some people insist that it is Steve, but I'm not so sure. I'll have to see it again some day to be sure.
>I have a question for you guys, have you ever heard of a movie called "Pistolero" that he's supposed to be in?
IMDB didn't know any movie called Pistolero, but I think there's a recent (1995-1996) western with that name. It had Lance Henriksen in the title role. (At least it was called Pistolero here in finland, not sure about it's original title.)

I saw the trailer for the movie before, I think, Titanic. It doesn't look half bad. I like the people involved as well. Bruce Willis is usually great in big action movies, Ben Affleck was awesome in Chasing Amy, and Steve is always good. I like the director, Michael Bay, who did The Rock, and Jerry Bruckheimer usually has a good eye for action movies (The Rock, Con Air). I personally can't wait to see it
-ms
I don't think that the filmography was referring to the series. Steve was in "Tales From The Darkside:The Movie." This movie had three short horror stories in it, and the one with Steve was about a mummy that he brought back from life to do his bidding. This segment also stars Christian Slater and Julianne Moore.
But, back to the movies of Steve's that I haven't seen -- I can't seem to remember them all at the same time. The last one (I think) that I haven't seen is "Kiss Daddy Goodnight."
Kelly
My fault, I TOTALLY misread that letter that I called myself responding to. So, disregard that last comment that I just made about "Tales From The Darkside: The Movie." We can can put that mistake down to my 3-year old nephew, whose running around yelling is breaking my concentration! : )

Don't bother with this one. It stars Uma Thurman and Paul Dillon (Matt's brother), and the storyline is such that I don't recall it. Steve played a friend of Dillon's who was a musician with a wife and baby. He's in only one scene that's about 5 minutes long.
One small sidenote about movies we haven't seen: I'm glad to see there are other die-hard Steve fans who will hunt out his films. I'm just surprised I'm not the only person who's seen almost everything available. Then again, what do you expect when you have to mention that "he was the guy opposite the kid in _Con Air_" to your friends so they know who you're talking about? ;-) Anyone else have that problem?
Marni
Hello, everyone!
I've been meaning to write for an awful long time...
Steve movies I haven't seen yet:
The Way it Is, No Picnic, Sleepwalk, Force of Circumstance, Coffee
& Cigarettes II, Kiss Daddy Goodnight*, Call Me, King of NY*, Billy
Bathgate*, Somebody to Love, The Search for One-Eye Jimmy, Arena Brains,
Borders, and Criss Cross*.
* = I have access, but just haven't rented them yet.
I can buy "Search for One-Eye Jimmy" through Suncoast (and probably some others too), but I don't want to do so if it isn't any good. I bought "Floundering" for $5, what a piece of crap that one was!
Marni wrote:

Why couldn't you have told me this 5 months ago!!! :-) I watched the whole damn movie -- which WASN'T very good by the way -- and couldn't find him anywhere. I read the credits over carefully, and EVEN WATCHED THE DAMN THING TWICE. I wish he wouldn't tease us like that :-( ...
>Along with _The Grifters_, it has been rumored that Steve was in _Even Cowgirls Get the Blues_ until the editing room. (Does anyone remember if they've seen this in print anywhere? I'm looking for definitive proof of this.
I saw this movie when it first came out, long before I realized my love for Mr. Buscemi. So, I wasn't really looking for him at the time. Was he in "Cowgirls" or not? If so, I'll rent it and sit through it again, although again, not a very good movie. The book, by the way, was awesome. Definitely read it if you haven't.
>And, speaking of definitive proof, I'd still like some that he DID play the bartender in _Dead Man_.)
Yes, that was him. The proof is in the eyes. Probably a favor he did for Jim Jarmusch, the director, who also referred to Steve as "a young Don Knotts" in "In the Soup" (one of my all time favorites).
And by the way, speaking of "In the Soup," I have a copy that my mom taped off Bravo. It's in black & white and all the naughty words are cut out. Oh well, Steve still looks good (but black & white does nothing for his teeth).
>Odd independent effort about a bored New York desk worker who is given an ancient text of Chinese fairy tales to translate, and finds they're manifesting themselves in dangerous ways in real life. Cinematography by Jim Jarmusch and Franz Prinzi.
Ah, Jarmusch again. More proof that Steve was in "Dead Man"...
Final Advice from Puck:
Skip "The Last Outlaw" and "Floundering." You can live a full life
as a Buscemi-ite without enduring these travesties.
Nice meeting you all!
Puck
I agree with puck about those two movies. I don't know if it's worth it to rent "Floundering", Steve's part is very small. Though he is wearing shorts and in rare paranoid form. And "The Last Outlaw" is a movie where we get to see Mickey Rourke looking like "Fu-man-chu" and Steve with dyed YELLOW teeth -- yeek! SPOILER ALERT! You'll especially like this movie if you wanna see Steve die another horrible movie death (his face gets blown off)! SPOILER ALERT ENDING!
bye for now,
Kelly

SACRILEGE!!!!! ARRGGHH!!!!! To the heart, you've stabbed me!!!!! What fools these fairies be! (note - fairy like in Midsummer Night's Dream, not bigot-speak)
I loved these both as Steve vehicles, for two reasons.
1. I always get a kick out of seeing the LIO boys bump in to each other on celluloid...again!
2. I love the characters, especially the one in Floundering. Think Mr. Pink meets Desperado (with appearance like Ed's Dead Mother). I love the weasely rant when it's sincere. I love the combo of pro-women (he's upset with a chick's denegration of herself for the camera) and paranoia (he's convinced those kids on the milk cartons are slaves in child porn rings).
Rebecca the triplet fan.
(All right, Puck, let's hear that final apology speech now, something about it's all in good fun...)

A) I'm Impressed! Another Shakespeare afficianado! (Do you know how
many people think I took my name from that guy from The Real World? ICK!)
B) Puck's female.
Yes, I enjoyed Steve's part in the floundering, all 2 minutes of it. But the rest of the film was so BAD (in my opinion), that it wasn't worth it for me. I kept waiting for him to show up again.
And as far as "The Last Outlaw" goes -- those weren't his real teeth?
One last question, how do you pronounce his last name? Just want to make sure I've got it right -- how embarrassing that would be...
Talk to y'all later,

Hi Everyone,
Talk about pouring salt on a wound. I went to see _Titanic_ today, and was approached by a guy about going to a sneak preview. Now, I love going to these because these are the rough edits that the people in the industry look at to fix it up. Well, the one that I was approached for was "the Coen Bros. new film." Naturally, I immediately inquired if it was "The Big Lebowski." Needless to say it was. I then asked when they were doing this. As it turns out, they are showing it this Wed. night at 6:15pm. Because of the luck that I have, I can't go. I'm going back to college *that* morning, and have classes the next day. *sniff*

What's the movie in itself like? I have a chance of getting it on video, but I wouldn't to buy a crappy movie just because Steve's in a small (?) role in it.

I was a bit disappointed about seeing this movie, because the version I saw was cut and not widescreen, so I didn't get to see what happened to Steve. I mean, he just disappeared after some time. I believe he was shot dead in one of the battles. Can someone certify this?
BILLY BATHGATE -- sexy hit-man Steve
Heh, I have a poster of Billy Bathgate on my wall and what do you know, it's got Steve in it! :)
>and PRISONER OF LOVE as soon as he directs and releases it. Is this >the movie that is based on W. Burroughs book(s)?
What's this? I haven't anything about it.
>Oh, by the way, these are the TV show appearances that I've seen:
>"Adventures of Pete & Pete" -- all three of his guest spots
>"Homicide:Life on the Street" -- 'End Game'(?)
>"Mad About You" -- 'Token Friend'
>"Tales From The Crypt" -- 'Forever Ambergris'
>"Monsters" -- 'Bed and Boar'
> The others I haven't seen. This took a long-ass time to type, so please, people let me see your lists! And if anyone would like to volunteer info on the things that I haven't seen -- feel free!
Well, I have seen at least one thing not mentioned on your list: the Miami Vice episode Steve was in. (Yes, it's true.) I didn't know anything about this episode even existing before I saw it - you can well imagine my surprise when the credits on "guest stars" said Steve Buscemi! It wasn't even mentioned in IMDB (it is now, thanks to me :). He played a weasely crook (surprise ;) working for some big-time criminal boss. It was quite a large part, actually. The best scene was definitely the one where he was eating cake in a restaurant when Crockett (Don Johnson, that is) storms in and puches him in the jaw while he's still eating the cake. :) A typical weasel part for Steve, but definitely worth seeing for fans.
He's also been in L.A. Law, but I haven't seen the episode. (Although now I have a good chance, because they're showing the whole series from start again here in finland, the VCR is already warming up.)

Marni, Marni, tell the story about the woman calling the hotel and asking for him.....
Rebecca
Armageddon looks like a typical testosterone-boy movie, which makes sense when you consider that the star is Bruce Willis. I'm anxious to see Steve, but not excited about the movie itself. I'd like to see more of Steve in roles that don't portray him as a serial killer, hitman, or thug.

Hi all! Glad to see that the list is up and working now, even though it must be a pain for Marni to distribute all of these messages. Thanks for doing that, Marni!

No, still trying to get more information on that role. A Buscemi fan wrote to me, telling me that he was in it. I then saw it on another Buscemi filmography and figured it must be legitimate. Given that I can't find out much about this, I might remove it from the filmography -- unless someone else has some more information on Steve's actual role.
My local video stores hadn't even HEARD of it, but that's not surprising.

Thanks for the plug, Marni. The address above is my personal homepage. The actual Buscemi page is at:
The Steve Buscemi Worship Page
Either way, you can get to the Steve Buscemi Worship Page, though.

I don't mind at all!

All the time! During the holidays at a friend's place, the subject of my web page came up and, of course, Steve Buscemi's name was mentioned by my husband (he's always plugging my site -- isn't he sweet? heh). Anyhow, everyone in the room just stared at us like we were from another planet. NO ONE knew who he was, even though they have all seen Fargo and Con Air. I actually had to bring out a picture of him and then everyone was like, "Ohhhh, THAT guy!" Duh.

This is quite a little controversy, actually. I have heard Steve say it's "boo-SEH-mee," and yet, he doesn't correct his fellow thespians or talk show hosts when they say, "boo-SHEM-ee." Furthermore, the combination of the letters "sc" in Italian makes the "sh" sound usually, so it seems that it SHOULD be "boo-SHEM-ee," and that's how I personally say it. Of course, we'd have to ask Steve to be sure.

Okay, okay, I'll ask him. You twisted my arm.
Puck
Hey, guys!
Another question from Puck:
I'm seriously considering ordering "The Search for One-Eye Jimmy" and
"Somebody to Love" from Suncoast Video.
Of course, I would have to go through the trouble of ordering the videos, waiting for them to arrive, and then paying full price to keep them forever.
To those of you who have seen them, would you suggest this course of action? I haven't found them at any local video stores, and I'm just dying to see Steve in drag! Also, are there any other particularly good hard-to-find ones I should try to dig up?
And to whoever was asking about "Kiss Daddy Goodnight," I think I saw it in the horror section of this small video store near me. I hope it's the same one, I think it is. So if you're looking for it, try horror.
And Ville, Puck's opinion is that "Slaves of New York" is not worth it, except for Steve's parts. It's a long movie that grates on you after a while. I wouldn't buy it. You should be able to rent it, though.
Talk to y'all later,
Puck
I had this movie on my list of Steve Buscemi movies but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Perhaps it doesn't even exist, but I was woundering if anyone else has heard of "scene 6, take one. I have no idea were I had even gotton this information from!
{Before everyone jumps on this one, I'll clear it up. "Scene 6, Take 1" is the first portion of _Living in Oblivion_. Originally, Tom DiCillo wanted a piece that would showcase the acting abilities of Catherine Keener, and wrote "Scene 6, Take 1." When he saw how well the short film turned out, he decided to turn it into a full length film. This ultimately became _Living in Oblivion.}
Jarrod the great. !!
Hi, everyone, this first part of this note is in response to the query regarding Steve's next directing job; PRISONER OF LOVE. This is a movie that he was supposed to start directing and acting in in fall '97. But, it has been delayed until he finishes up with ARMAGEDDON. This movie is supposed to be produced (?) by CFP (Cinepix Film Properties). The question that *I* was asking was if this project is the same thing as the William Burroughs project that he is supposed to be working on. The Burroughs film is supposed to be based on a combination of Burroughs own life and his two books; Junky and QUEER. What makes me wonder about this is that Steve is supposed to be starting both (the same?) projects as soon as possible (from what I've read). Another thing is that he is being credited with being the director/star/writer of PRISONER OF LOVE, while the other is based on Burroughs stuff. Does anyone know if these are two different movies?
About SLAVES OF NEW YORK & KING OF NEW YORK:
I personally did not care for SONY, so if it were me, I wouldn't buy
it unless it was under $5 (and only because of Steve). Though his part
is small and he doesn't appear until well into the movie; Steve is in maybe
4 scenes. 2 of them are scenes with close-ups; the others aren't so close
up. He looks cute. You should rent it if you can, before you try to buy
it.
I don't know what the hell happened to Steve in KONY, he just disappeared. His part is better and longer in SONY.
Hey, Ville -- I'm jealous of you with your poster!
I haven't seen the "Miami Vice" episode that he was in, but I know that it had Willie Nelson in it too! What I do know is that that particular episode is called "El Viejo" and it was from the third season (I think). In an interview that Steve did for "Split Screen" he said that Willie Nelson Kicked his ass too! That sounds like a funny sight to see! I haven't seen the "L.A. Law" episode either, but I do know that it's called "Spleen It To Me, Lucy" and it's from 1991, not 1986 (at least, that's what the "L.A. Law" episode guide said).
One more thing -- does anyone know what movies are showing the BIG LEBOWSKI trailer (besides THE GAME)?
later, y'all

Well, I'm not that interested in his face :), so it doesn't matter are there enough close-ups.
Was SONY directed by James Ivory or I am thinking of Bloodhounds of Broadway?
>Hey, Ville -- I'm jealous of you with your poster!
Should be. :) No, not really. You can barely recognize Steve (his face is shadowed), but it's a quite nice poster, so i think it's worth a dollar or two if you see it anywhere.

Willie Nelson? I remember seeing an episode with Willie Nelson, but somehow I don't think it was the episode with Steve... But I guess Steve himself knows better than me. :)
Now that I think of it, I guess it was after all the same episode. Don't remember Nelson kicking Steve's ass, though. :)

So there's a long wait before I ever get to see that episode, because they're showing it from the start. Damn.

Yes, this was directed by James Ivory. _Bloodhounds of Broadway_ was directed by Howard Brookner.
Hope this helps,
