Subject: Armageddon on Regis & Kathy Lee / Premiere

I think the reason that they weren't on was because the premiere that Regis &
Kathy Lee were going to didn't happen (they postponed it or something) for
some reason. I heard that somewhere and don't remember why.

There was another premiere though that was on T.V. that I mentioned: the one
on E!. Did anyone catch it?

Steve was there!! He was wearing all black with black sunglasses. He was
called over when they were talking to Mr. Ego (Ben Affleck). Mr. Ego called
Steve Mr. Pink...and Steve barely cracked a smile. :( He was looking cute
though!!!

He was also on this thing on the Sci-Fi Channel (Countdoown to Armageddon).

He was talking ALOT about the movie. What a hottie!!! They asked him what
he would do if there was a real asteroid heading towards earth, and he said he
would: RUN DOWN TO THE BASEMENT!!!

"Hey, Steve, wait. I'll go down with you!!! We'll die together!!!" he he
he...no, I'm not obsessed! :)

I hope everyone plans on seeing Armageddon (like I am seeing it tonight) and I
will definitely tell everyone what I think of it!!!

Hey Everybody.

I saw Armageddon, and when Steve came on the screen, the two girls in the row
behind me started saying, "That's him, that's the guy, yeah it's him". Why?
I have no idea but it was cool they knew him.
Also didn't he look cute in the scene where he was getting arrested?!?!?!?!
He looked younger in that scene and I liked his hair.

Hello everyone!!!

I saw the movie today and it was GREAT!!!! I loved it! Steve was so hot in
it. His character is so like him. He was so funny! All of you HAVE to see
it! Liv Tyler sucks, but that's a given. Besides her bad acting, the movie
was breathtaking (literally in some parts)

Good news! Steve does not die!

I can't believe that the critics are totally dogging this movie...it kicked
major butt!!! I think it was truly great because it mixed action with humor
and drama.

And man did I CRY at the ending. It really is a fun film to watch, and some
of the shots are truly beautiful.

I would definitely recommend Steve fans to see this movie....and not just b/c
Steve is in there!! (Steve's bud from Fargo, Peter Stormare, was really funny
as the Russian astronaut...check him out!)

I live in PA, but from June 25 until today I took a bus trip to Disney
World. Well the day before I visited the parks they said that if we wanted
to we could go to the Kennedy Space Center. My family & I went. While we
were riding around getting a tour of the place the driver said "Look over
there, that's where they're setting up for the Armageddon premiere." I
couldn't believe it, I was there on Sat. I was sooo close to Steve. Then
when I went to MGM Studios & they had a theater that said it was playing a
behind the scenes thing on Armaggedon, but it didn't start until July 1st.
I then took the Backlot Tour & on the side of the building it had
Armaggedon posters, featuring Bruce Willis, Liv Tyler, & Billy Bob Thorton
(2 of each), no Steve, I was so mad. At the end of the tour in the store
atleast they sold Armaggedon candy. I was happy to get that since every
theater & market I had been to hadn't had it. The night of the premiere I
watched the news to see Steve, but over my family's arguing I couldn't hear
him. When I went to Epcot the next day they were playing on some tv
screens in Innoventions, so I got to hear. But I was gone when they had
all of the premiere & behind the scenes stuff on tv. I hope they will
replay it. I just can't believe that I was so close. This is due to the
fact that I plan on being an actress, it just seems like I should be at the
premiere, you know?

Oh my god, I saw Armageddon yesterday with my sister & best friends. It
rocked! I loved Steve's role. When they showed his name & when they
showed him I was saying "Yeah, go Steve!". Surprisingly no one even looked
at me. I actually had to explain to my one friend who he was. She's never
seen one of his movies(until now), not even Fargo. I felt bad for his
character though because the other characters didn't seem to really care
about him. The friend who didn't know who he was said he was ugly, but
funny. Of course I totally stood up for Steve.

I haven't seen one. For that matter, I haven't seen any of the Armaggedon
action figures. I've checked the local KayBee Toys, K-Mart, Target and
Wal-Mart stores. The only things I've seen are a Ben Orange poster at
K-Mart, and of course the soundtrack. I was hoping to find something I
could get for a friend as a graduation present.

Tricia,

:<

Unfortunatly, as of now, there is no Rockhound figure. Only one of Ben
Affleck and Bruce Willis. Plus a few micro machines and remote control ships.
Strangely, the Armadillo, is called "the Rover" (??) The figures are out
now, and if anyone sees um, tell em where! I can't find them even at
theaters! I will let the list know if any other figures come out. Good thing
is though, is that the figures looks suprisingly like the actors Willis and
Affleck, so if they do make a Rockhound figure, you can bet it'll look JUST
LIKE BUSCEMI! YEAH! I am currently trying to create my own Mr. Pink figure,
so i would be very happy if i could get me hands on a Buscemi like head! Let
ya all know if I find anymore news out!

Also, tonight I saw Armageddon (finally) with some friends, and IT ROCKED!
Not the kind of film I could watch again and again, but IT IS SOOOOOO COOL!
Steve got all the best lines (except Peter Stormare's "Russian/American,
they're all made in Taiwan!"). Anyone who hasn't seen this movie, is really
missing out! Bruce Willis, I might add, was excellent!

Okay, Hope you had a happy fourth,

Carl

there will be a Rockhound doll...but maybe they will come to their senses and
make one!!!

Subject: People magazine article

In my local newspaper here in Centerville, Ohio, I came across an article that
they got from People magazine.

The article in the paper said:

Steve Buscemi, best known for his portrayals of low-life characters in films
like Fargo and Reservoir Dogs, was a little concerned about his mug appearing
all over his hometown on the poster for his latest movie Armageddon.

"I called my manager and said, 'Could he maybe not have these put up in
Brooklyn?' " he says in the July 13 issue of People. "It's just too
embarrasing to see myself on a bus shelter. And I don't want to have to see
my face graffitied."

Playing an action hero had its perils for Buscemi. "I tripped and I had a
swollen knee for a while," he says. "It was a case of an overzealous actor
getting the chance to do something physical and trying too hard. You know we
were saving the world."

And that is the end of the newpaper article. I heard that in the People
magazine article he is only on a small part on the last page or so.

2. It has the review (not so hot) of the movie....it gave it a C. Oh
well....all us Steve fans KNOW that the movie kicks major butt, and we don't
have to listen to some middle-aged man with no hair who sits around all day
eating popcorn and giving lame reviews of cool movies!!! :::takes a breath,

I got the shirt at Suncoast Motion Picture Company which is in the mall where
i live. It is a good picture, Steve is right there in the middle, but the
picture is a tad blurry because of whatever paint they used.
If anybody gets the shirt, if you want to preserve the picture I would either
hand wash it or wash it on a delicate cycle. The picture is big and I think
that eventually the picture will crack after so many washings.

As for posters, I've only seen the Ben Affleck one where he is sitting in his
space suit, I haven't even seen a Rockhound one. They need to make some
Rockhound merchandise because I think they would make more off the Steve
merchandise than off all the movie tickets sold just from us on the list
alone!!!!

Subject: response to Sarah regarding Parting Glances

Sarah wanted to know if anyone had any information on Parting Glances. Here's
what I know; it's a non-rated 90 minute drama directed by Bill Sherwood. It
came out in 1986 and is, of course, available on video. (I'd call around
though. Your local Blockbuster, most likely, won't carry it.)

It's about two longtime gay roomates spending their final 24 hours together
before one leaves on an out of state job transfer.

Leonard Maltin gave the movie 2.5 out 4 stars when he reviewed it but most
critics say Steve was incredible in the movie. I read an interview with Steve
saying it was his favorite role.

I checked up on the cast list for you but I think most of them are unknowns.
Do the names Richard Ganoung, John Bolger, Adam Nathan, Kathy Kinney, and
Patrick Tull mean anything to anyone?

Let me know if you need more info.

{Kathy Kinney can be seen on The Drew Carey Show. Oddly enough, she is
the person who hires Steve's character to represent her on TDCS.  MH}

For all those interested:
I'm sure you have all seen the posters and banners for Armegeddon and
probably wonder how you can get one, right? Well, most theatres give away
their posters when they need the room for a new movie. You can probably
reserve one. The banners/posters with Steve's face on it on the other hand
is different. Most theatres are letting their employees have those posters.
I know, I've asked. So if any of you have friends that work in movie
theatres, tell them to save you one! (and me) :)
