Subject: Steve Nominated

Hi all!

I just found out that Steve has been nominated by the DGA (Directors'
Guild of America) for an award! He's been nominated for the episode of
"Homicide: Life on the Street" that he directed. The Steve directed
episode is called, "Finnegan's Wake." Congrats Steve!

I have created a font in honor of the great Steve Buscemi. Instead of
numerals there are pictures of him from roles in Fargo, The Big Lebowski and
Twenty Bucks, amongst others. Download it at Spork Thug Typography

hi guys,
just watched LIO this past weekend for the second time (watched it last
summer, but that was before i got into steve, although did think he looked
nice in the movie at the time). question, you guys might of talked about
this before, but is that his real hair in LIO? did he have long hair for a
while? i'm fairly sure the hair in air heads was not real.....

Hey guys!

I was wondering which episode of "Homicide: Life on the
Street" was Steve nominated for directing? I thought he
only directed those in '94. Thanks :)

The episode of H:LotS that Steve worked on in '94 was called "End Game,"
and he was one of the principal characters for it. He did not direct this
one.

The episode that he has been nominated for is called "Finnegan's Wake."
This episode was filmed for the '97-98 season.

Hope that helps,

Subject: Trees Lounge Soundtrack

Hi Everyone,

During a long drive, I stopped at a "strip mall" that had a music store
called "Off/Beat Music." Most of the stuff that they sell appeared to be
used. At the front of the store was a section of cd's that they recommend
with a note that these are underrated or unnoticed for the most part.
Among them was the Trees Lounge soundtrack.

For those of you still searching for this soundtrack, they had 3 copies
left (that I saw). The price was $5.99 + tax. They might be willing to
ship the soundtrack to you. (It's too far from where I live for me to go
there again.) Here's the store's info (directly off the business card):

Subject: New York Stories

I was watching tv the other day and I just happened to catch NY Stories on HBO
2. The problem with that movie is of course the Francis Ford Coppola part of
it. It makes absolutely no sense, and even if it did, it would still be bad.
But I still like the Scorsese part, and the classic Woody Allen Oedipus
Wrecks. But I had never really noticed the Buscemi part until this last
viewing. What a funny performance. And I wasn't really expecting what Nick
Nolte did to his character.

Subject: Tommy's (Old film?)

Has anyone seen or heard anything about this movie? I was checking out
the filmography on the Worship Page, and this was new to me. When I went
to the Internet Movie Database, it came up empty.

Subject: Re: Tommy's (Old film?)

Tommy's is a short film (15 minutes long)from 1985 that was directed
by Barry Ellsworth and produced by Christine Vachon (who went on to
produce such notable films as "Kids," "I Shot Andy Warhol," "Velvet
Goldmine," and "Happiness." My source is Barry Ellsworth himself, who
emailed me a few months back to suggest that I include the short film
in my filmography. Apparently, Steve also worked with Christine
Vachon on another short film prior to "Tommy's", but Mr. Ellsworth was
unsure of the title.

I went to the IMDB and noticed that "Tommy's" wasn't even listed under
Christine Vachon, but I would imagine that this film hasn't been added
to her filmography because it's a short film that didn't get much
attention.

Hope this helps,
Kym

Subject: I have a new page up dedicated to Steve.

Hi everyone.

I have been lurking for quite a while, and I finally decided I'd like to
get in on the action. I created a page in dedication to Steve, who for me
is the best actor to ever grace the silver screen... and the most beautiful
too...

He is also one hell of a director and I hope to see much more of his work...
I have seen lots of Nike commercials, and I must admit I am uncertain which
ones he has done, and I would like to get them onto tape, but its really
hard trying to catch and record a commercial... did anyone else noitice
this???

ok my page can be found at:

www.angelfire.com/nb/steve

I hope everyone enjoys it... I have spent countless hours searching for
stuff on Steve both on the internet and everywhere else.

I would also like to thank Mike for sharing the info about copies of Trees
Lounge for sale at Reel.com... I just made my **first** internet purchase! :)

Your welcome. I think my copy is gonna arrive tomorrow! Im so psyched! When
I saw Tree's Lounge at a small Long Island theatre, it was being hosted by
Steve (he was doing a Q&A afterwards). When the movie was done and the
lights went up, Steve was sitting behind me the whole time!! Ahh...memories..

Subject: SNL on Comedy Central

I know that a lot of people have been wondering when this episode will air
on Comedy Central. Today I dug up the answer. It will be on March 26,
1999 at 11am and 6pm (ET/PT, I believe).

As for the episode that John Travolta hosted, it will be airing in April.
You can check my site's monthly tv schedule for reminders later.

Subject: Steve questionaire

Hello. I have a favor to ask of all you fellow Steve fans. I'm writing
an article for my Intro to Media Writing class, and it's gonna be a
feature story about Steve. I just have a few questions to ask of you,
sort of like an interview. If you could please answer any or all of the
questions, it would be most helpful. Also, if you wouldn't mind, answer
in complete sentences. It makes it easier to quote in an article.

{Note: The article has already been written. No more answers are
needed by the author of this message.  MH}

1. What is your favorite Steve movie? Why?

2. What is your favorite Steve role? Why?

3. What is it about Steve (specifically) that draws you to him?

4. How many movies that Steve has been in have you seen?

5. How many do you own?

6. What did you think of Steve's directorial debut, Trees Lounge?

7. Should he continue to direct, or should he continue to star in
movies?

8. When and how did your love of/obsession with/appreciation for Steve
begin?

9. What is your name? (to be used for quoting purposes only)

10. What city do you live in? (again, for quoting purposes only)

The following 2 answers will be used in this context, So-and-so, from
Somewhere, Somestate, said...

Thanks for any and all help you can give.

Hi Everyone,

I'm curious, do you any of you know if Steve has ever been in a film with
James Spader (the actor from Stargate, 2 Days In The Valley, Crash, etc....)?
Thanks!
