Hi Everyone,

Seeing as it's been rather quiet, I thought I'd put forth the following
question of the day:

If you could ask Steve just 3 questions, what would you ask?

Well, here's my two cents: :)

1) If you weren't in "show business," what profession
do you think you would pursue?

2) What other actors, directors, and/or writers have
inspired you the most?

3) What are some of your favorite movies and why?

And that's all, folks.

sitcom like you wanted when you were 18?

2) What do you and your family do when you have time together?

3) What would it take for you to read a script (if I ever write one)?

mine would be:

2.) Have you any unfulfilled ambitions?
3.) Who are your inspirations and influences?

Ok, I just got through watching it and I have a question about one
particular scene. Near the end, when Andy Garcia's character is leaving
the malt shop, the camera flashes to the booth where the old guy is
talking to the two younger guys, one of whom is Mr. Shhh (Steve's
character). My question is, who is the other guy? I didn't see his name
mentioned in the credits, but it looks like Ed Kern (sp?), the guy who
plays Al Borland on Home Improvement.

{Al Borland is played by Richard Karn.  MH}

I just thought I'd answer this one since we actually do know a little bit.

1) Yes he drinks. He is regularly shown holding a beer in his hand in
magazine pictures.

2) He no longer smokes (near his son - possibly at all) because his son
asked him to stop. When his son was about 4, he (Lucian) learned that
smoking was bad and begged Steve to stop. Something to that effect,
anyway. (If you want, I can go through all the magazines and dig up that
part of the article.)

3) He rarely cusses in person. Several authors have mentioned in their
articles how surprised they were that he was good looking and didn't
curse.

Hope that answers it,

true? If so, where can I find a used copy? I cannot use a credit card on
the web, so that limits my sourses. I know there are some of you guys who
have purchased copies weeks ago. How did you find your copies??? Anna.

I have to say that using a credit card is completely safe for
ordering videos with them... I have been ordering them for two months
now... (you should see my Steve collection!) And I live in Canada
too. It says it susually takes 4-6 weeks for delivery. I will say
that the last video I ordered, (Ed and His Dead Mother) only took 2
weeks to come.

Just my two cents...

Thanks Herb, for cheering me up with that top ten Steve list - it

indieFan, it's so nice to hear your answer about Steve's smoking, and
cursing, etc. It's so interesting to hear that Steve doesn't curse much
- - especially with some of the roles he plays! It's also so nice to hear
that he doesn't smoke anymore (or not as much = no offence to any
smokers on the list here). It's the only thing that ever sort of bugged
me about him (if there could possibly be such a thing). Makes him even
more perfect in my eyes now! *grin*

While reading one of the Yahoo! clubs I'm in about Steve, I came across
mention of a video called "Film House Fever" From what I've read, he and
another guy go into a theater and watch clips from assorted indie films.
Does anyone else have any more info about it?

A Steve Buscemi fan wrote to me about this film last
week. He said it was made in the 80's and he couldn't
remember Steve's co-star. He sent me this description
(from a place that used to sell copies of the movie, I
guess):

A compilation of clips from many of Hollywood's worst
creations, including 'The Warrior and the Sorceress,'
'Suburbia,' 'Hot Night at the Go-Go Lounge,' 'Blood
Feast,' 'She Devil on Wheels' and 'Sex and the College
Girls.'

pop the question to Steve myself, but I'd like to know what all the
gentlemen out there think? Are all the women just nuts? My brother asks me
all the time Whats so cool about Steve? All I can think to tell him is
that I think he's a hottie. Why do guys flock to grovel at the feet of our
dear Mr.Buscemi? I'm just wondering. Anna.

My husband looks like Steve, only we didn't find that out until a few years
ago. The guys at work call him Barney (Fife). He was tickled that someone
that looks like HIM could be famous and in demand like that. He bought me an
autographed Armageddon Steve pic for my birthday. (I think he really bought
it for himself and used me as an excuse.) Steve is the true 'little guy' for
all the little guys out there. I roll when I watch some of Steve's movies,
can see my own guy arguing about being called Mr. Pink, that waitresses don't
need tips, and he used to be a LOT like Tommy before he quit drinking. We
joke that my husband doesn't look like Steve, rather Steve looks like HIM
because Steve is a year younger. I think he likes Steve because he sees a
lot of qualities in both the actor and the characters that he *wishes* he had
the guts to do. Don't know if that helped with your question much.

Well, speaking for myself, I'm not sure that I'd call it groveling at
his feet, but more of an admiration or identification with him and his
characters. He's intelligent, funny, deeply philosophical at times. He's
also a very talented actor, and at times I can feel the same way his
character is feeling, that I could be in his shoes, and would do the
same thing, as opposed to other actors that I'd like to emulate. In
other words, Steve can make me want to be the character, rather than
just be like the character.

I would love to ask Steve:
1. Have you ever been abused by a stranger because of a role you played?
(like some teenaged girl's mother, of a bar brawl.)
2. Will you marry me, or if not, at least can we live in sin together for
a few months?
3. What do you like to eat? I've only seen you smoke cigarettes, and
drink coffee and beer.
I hope I don't offend you Steve, but I have to know. Anna.

Subject: "Steve" in Jenny Jones Show

Hey kids, today I was watching an episode of the Jenny Jones Talkshow, and
the theme of it was something like "Lookalives Looking for Love" in which
they had some people who looked like celebs come on the show and choose one
contestant to go on a date with. It was cute. They had an Adam Sandler guy
come on in a Wedding Singer get-up, and of course a Steve Lookalike came in
too! It was really cute, and he actualy did resemble steve. He was cuter
than the Adam Sandler guy anyway. Just though you might like to know that
Steve's actually kinda popular now!
