mention of Steve taking the place of Harry Dean Stanton.

- Page 48 features an interview with Steve and Eric Bogosian that talks
about writing, directing, and acting. The interview is continued on

Michael Lehmann, there is a discussion of how things didn't turn out as he
(Lehmann) had wanted. A picture of the Airheads poster is on the

Lounge and its filming.

- Steve interviews fellow actor Dermot Mulroney on page 88.

- Page 106 has an interview of Steve that was conducted by his on-screen
wife from the film Kansas City. The interview is a
mixture of Steve's early career, his family, and Trees Lounge.
Movieline
June 1998
- Page 22 gives the correct pronunciation of Steve's last name, along with
many other actors.
- On page 98 is a humorous section that shows who the child of two famous
people mated. Steve is shown in one example.
People Magazine
21 October, 1996
- Steve answers a few questions about Trees Lounge on page 22.
Premiere Magazine
May 1989
- This article and picture appear on pages 37 and 38. It is the earliest
known magazine article, and it tells of Steve's background and upcoming
films. The picture was taken in front of his former fire fighting
company.
August, 1995
- On page 40, Steve and Tom DiCillo talk about making low-budget films.
There is a picture of Steve and Tom on the same page. It's one of the last
ones with Steve smoking due (or about to be) to his son.
March, 1996
- Page 80 contains a picture of Steve in the middle of an interview with
the Coen Bros. (There is no mention of Steve in the article except at
the beginning to say that he has become a "neo-noir totem.")
- The very last page (100) gives a quick paragraph about Steve and a
filmography until that point in time. There is a picture of him from
Living in Oblivion on the same page. Interestingly,
Even Cowgirls Get the Blues is listed
within this filmography, yet I never found him in the movie.
October, 1996
- There's a brief paragraph about Trees Lounge with a
picture on page 74.
- Pages 123 and 124 have a brief synopsis of Fargo.
March, 1998
- In a spread taken by The Big Lebowski co-star, Jeff
Bridges, a picture of Steve can be found on page 80. The caption for
the picture is on page 81.
April, 1998
- In this issue is a look at the 5 different characters Steve has played
in the different Coen Bros. films. Each character has a small picture
displayed next to it.
June, 1998
- Pages 56 & 57 have a large picture from Armageddon with Steve in
the middle. There is also a synopsis of the movie that mentions Steve
on page 57.

- "The Spindie 50" is featured on pages 80-82. Steve was ranked #9. There
isn't much to read, but the entire list (and how it was calculated) are
worth looking at.

- Page 91 has a brief column about how he was a fire fighter and the two
movies he had coming out at that time. There is also a picture.
US Magazine
November, 1996
- Article about Steve (including the proper pronunciation of his name) on
page 97. The article is concluded on page 125. Page 96 is a b/w photo
of Steve with his son.

- On page 14, a reader sent in two lines about Steve.

- A two page article about Steve and his Living in Oblivion
