Rhonda and Mollie in front of the entrance
The pyramid is actually the outside of one of their habitats. It was
cold outside but we would
go inside these buildings which have the creatures' natural climate
(rain forest = hot and sweaty).
It was liking going in and out of a sauna all day.
I was taking so many pictures but I wanted to be in one. Rhonda took
this photo.
I liked the masks for about 2 seconds, then it irritated my face.
If you look at my sweater, it says "Oregon Zoo, OZ."
I wish I could have afforded a Toronto Zoo Sweater.
Lunchtime. Rhonda, Mollie and a uninvited guest that nibbled on our
food.
I found out that it's now open season for the Canadian Geese. They
were
everywhere. Behind the overlook where we had lunch, a flock of geese
grabbed
a lot of attention.
We caught a show on Elephants. They were so close because if you look
to the
ground, there are food cubes.
She thought we were taking too many photos so she walked over and protectively
sat in
front of her mate. She was beautiful.
This cub was waiting patiently for his toy. He was so cute. Many animals
at the zoo
just recently had babies.
This is inside one of the habitats. It was a beautiful waterfall. Rhonda
and Mollie
graciously went under the waterfall for this great picture.
The Zoo was a blast but we were all excited to begin the convention
