  • Gallen is afraid of dark and heights.
  • Before he was popular, Gallen was so down and out, that he had to borrow back the HK$500 he gave to his mom as family allowance almost every month.
  • He never do any chores when he was cohabiting with his wife.
  • Gallen started smoking in his 20s
  • When Gallen watched back his past production such as Season, he actually cringed at his own performance and switched off the TV.
  • One of the favorite things Gallen loved to play during his childhood, is to stuck a firecracker into a piece of cow dung so that, the next unlucky chap who comes along got splattered with cow dung from head to toe when the cracker exploded.
  • Gallen is so stressed during the filming of Feminine Masculinity that he thought of committing suicide.
  • Gallen learnt to speak Mandarin during his three months stay in Taiwan in 1993.
  • Gallen was voted by Singapore Friday Weekly as one of the top ten most well-liked artiste by the local media. They called him a ' Mr Nice Guy'.
  • Gallen's idea of good dressing is to put a nice tie around his neck. He had bought about 50 ties for the filming of ATE, and is expected to accumulated to 100 when the whole production wrapped up.
  • Remember the village houses Gallen built in the early episode of ATE? He used to stay in similar one with his elder sister and his wife.
  • Gallen once drew a picture of a mouse in tattered and torn clothes. And just below the picture he included a few words which read " I am not rich but would you still be with me?" He presented it to his wife who was so touched by his gift that she went to have the picture framed up the next day.
  • He think the most sexy part of his body is his unique " embarrassed" kind of smile.
  • Gallen has one piece of advice of advice for son which is -
    "please don't mess with my hi-fi."
