Huntress is a creation of Greywolf Lupous. The Space Rovers -- "The Great Hunter Caper" The scene is the Saranade recording studio in Austin, Texas. Hunter, Huntress, Daisy and Professor Hubert are sitting in the studio control room, watching Cactus Jake and Flash record songs during their 'shore leave' from the Canius Minor. Johnny Dash, the owner of Saranade Records and Dianne Ladde, his assistant, gloat about their latest 'find'. JOHHNY (beaming smile): Just listen to those two sing! When I release their first CD, they'll be the greatest country music starts since Tim McGraw and Faith Hill! DIANNE (nods): I concur, Mr Dash! JOHNNY (points): What a great gimmic! That cowboy outfit is perfect! But the hounddog's gotta lose the labcoat when they go on tour! HUBERT (upset): And what's the matter with wearing a labcoat! JOHNNY (looks at Daisy): Er...I meant no offense, sir. It's just that your daughter needs to be wearing something a little more....country on stage! HUNTER (excited): ON STAGE!!! COOL!!!!!! HUNTRESS (smiling, looks at Hunter): Our cousin, a country music star? This is so exciting! HUBERT (nods): I must admit, this is quite exhilerating! Isn't it, Daisy? Hubert and the others only now notice that Daisy is standing on the other side of the room looking out of a window. Hunter and Huntress walk over to talk to her. Tears are falling from her eyes. HUNTER (softly): Daisy, are you alright? HUNTRESS (puts hand on her shoulder): Daisy, we're your friends, we what to help you. What's wrong? DAISY (sadly): I'm all alone! You have Blitz, Hunter has Colleen and even my sister has a feller, but not me! HUNTRESS (smiles): Don't worry Daisy, you'll find the right man someday... DAISY (crying): But I did find my man! But he don't want me! HUNTER (confused): Who? DAISY (sadly): Rasputin! I loves that feller! I wish he'd love me! HUNTER (nods): I talked to him before we left, he's visiting his father, Confuse-us, on the mountain, isn't he? DAISY (angry): At least Ocrhid didn't go with him! She went back to Okinowa. HUBERT (walks over to Daisy): Daisy, I know it's not easy but... DAISY (shouts): I WANT RASPUTIN!!! Hubert gently hugs his daughter as she breaks out into tears. While all this was going on, Flash and Cactus Jake have finished recording and have just entered the room. JOHHNY (excited): You two were positively wonderful! Weren't they, Dianne? DIANNE (nods): They sure were, Mr Dash! JOHNNY (smiles): Now, let's you and me discuss a contract! FLASH (nods): Have your attorney contact ours, they can hammer out the deal! JOHNNY (smirks): And who is YOUR attorney? CACTUS JAKE (smiles): Well, our good buddy Ben Maddog recommended Prairie Mason, he said he'd do all the contract work for free! JOHNNY (shocked): You KNOW Ben Maddog and Prairie Mason? FLASH (smiles): Sure do, slick! We Southern dogs stick together! Cactus Jake looks over and sees Daisy crying in her father's embrace. CACTUS JAKE (elbows Flash): Darling, I think your sister is cryin' her eyes out! We better go see what we can do! FLASH (nods): I agree (turns to Johnny) Please excuse us, y'all! Cactus Jake and Flash walk over to the others, Hunter and Huntress tell them what has been happening. FLASH (sadly): Oh sis... Just be patient with Rassy, he'll come around! DAISY (crying): No he won't! That she-devil Orchid will get'm and I'll be all alone! CACTUS JAKE (shakes head): Don't think like that, Daisy. HUNTER (nods): My cousin is right! It's not over yet! HUNTRESS (smiles): I have an idea! I'll bet we'd all feel better if we went out to dinner together! I know this great little steak house just a few miles from here! C'mon! I'm buying! HUNTER (huge grin): Free food! COOL!!! HUBERT (wondering): Well, are you sure you can afford it, Huntress? HUNTRESS (smiles): Sure, it's the least I could do for our future singing stars, right? FLASH (turns to Daisy): What'd ya say, sis? DAISY (slight grin): That's very kind of y'all, thank you! Daisy, Flash, Cactus Jake, Professor Hubert, Hunter and Huntress walk outside. HUNTER (turns to the others): Sis and I will bring the Van Rover around front here, stay right here, we'll be right back! With that, Hunter and Huntress run 'lightning fast' towards the parking lot in the back of the building. Meanwhile, a black van screeches to a halt in front of the others. Before anyone can react, the van opens and two hooded men grabs Cactus Jake and knocks him out cold with a lead pipe. Hubert tries to help, but the other man punches him in the face and sends him falling to the sidewalk. Flash and Daisy jump out of the way as the van's door closes and speeds off. A minute later, the Van Rover pulls up. Hunter and Huntress jump out of it when they see the Professor on the ground with Daisy and Flash kneeling besides him. HUNTER (frantic): What happened here? Where's Jake? FLASH (sadly): Those two men took'm away in their van! DAISY (sadly): Dad tried to stop'm, and now he's hurt! HUNTRESS (sternly): What did the van look like? Which way did they go? FLASH (points): It was a black van and they went that way! HUNTER (nods): Ok, you girls stay here and call an abulance. Huntress and I will go after those kidnappers! FLASH (stands up); I'm going with you! Daisy can go with dad to the hospital! HUNTER (shakes head): Flash, you better let my sister and I handle this ... FLASH (angry): They took my feller away! I ain't got no super powers, but I wants a piece of those goons! I'm going whether y'all likes it or not! HUNTRESS (slight smile): Who can agrue with that? HUNTER (sternly): Ok, Flash, Huntress, let's go! Hunter, Huntress and Flash hop into the Van Rover and speed off. The scene now switches to the basement of an abandoned house a few miles outside of Austin. Cactus Jake's hands and feet are chained to a wall as he begins to regain conscienceness. CACTUS JAKE (groggy): Where am I! OW! I have a powerful headache! MASKED MAN (laughing): We have you now, Hunter! CACTUS JAKE (groggy): Huh? MASKED MAN (pointing): You and your Rovers stopped my plans before, but NOW, AT LAST, I'll have my revenge! CACTUS JAKE (slowly shakes head): But I ain't Hunter..... MASKED MAN (punchs Jake in the face): LIAR!!! I went to prison because of your meddling! Now I'm going to enjoy making you suffer! CACTUS JAKE (groggy): Who are you? MASKED MAN (punchs Jake in the stomache): Hunter, you disappoint me! I'm surprised you don't remember me! The man removes his ski mask, to reveal that he is Donovan Bell, the convicted dognapper. CACTUS JAKE (weakly): I don't recognize you... I'm not Hunter.... I'm his cousin... Donovan Bell punchs Jake again in his face. DONOVAN (angry): STOP LYING TO ME!!! Me and my friends are going to finish you off now! At that moment, a load alarm goes off in the building. Donovan pushes a button which opens a trap door in the ceiling. Down drops a huge cargo net with Hunter and Huntress inside. DONOVAN (shocked): It can't be! That's Hunter in the net! Oh well, my friends and I will make this a three dog night! As Donovan and his thugs walk over to the other end of the basement to pick up some weapons. Meanwhile, no one notices Flash who is looking down through the open trap door. She takes a flask out of her labcoat, opens it, and pours it out on one side of the cargo net. The liquid quickly dissolves the parts of the net it touched, and in seconds both Hunter and Huntress are free. The thugs and Donovan are completely shocked when they turn around. HUNTER (looks at Huntress): Y'know sis, it's time to teach these humans some manners! HUNTRESS (nods): I couldn't agree more! Hunter and Huntress use their super speed to 'disarm' all of the thugs. Donovan and his men throw punches at the two Road Rovers, they use their super speed to avoid getting hit. Hunter and Huntress move so quickly that soon they're making Donovan and his men punch each other out. While all this is going on, Flash sneaks over to Cactus Jack and uses a flask of metal eating acid to free her lover from his chains. FLASH (frantic): Oh Jake! Jake! Speak to me! CACTUS JAKE (weakly): Flash? FLASH (hugs him): You bet it's me, honey! HUNTER (looks all around): Whoa! Looks like Donovan and his cronies are all out cold! HUNTRESS (laughs): And we didn't lay a glove on any of them! HUNTER (nods): Let's get the police to come in here and take'm away! The scene now switchs to the local hospital, two hours later. Professor Hubert is in a hospital bed in the same room with Cactus Jake. Hunter, Huntress, Daisy and Flash are all in the room with them. HUNTER (smiles): I spoke to the doctor, he says both of you will be out of here tommorrow! HUNTRESS (smiles): That's great news! HUBERT (looks at his daughters): See, your old man is tough as nails! (sniffs) This room needs more antiseptic spray! I think I smell germs! DAISY (smiles): I'll see what I can do, dad! HUNTER (turns to Flash): Flash, I have to admit it! You saved our toast! HUNTRESS (nods): I agree! Thanks! FLASH (happy): Thank YOU two for helping save my Jake! DAISY (sighs): Yeah, I wonder what Rasputin is doing now! HUNTER (points): Well, I think he's standing right behind you! Daisy slowly turns around and sees Rasputin standing in the doorway. She's so excited she runs uo to him and hugs him. DAISY (tears falling): I'm so glad you're here! RASPUTIN (concerned): I came as soon as I heard about your father, how is he? HUBERT (motions with finger): Why not come in the room and ask him yourself? RASPUTIN (walks over to his bedside): Professor, how are you, sir? HUBERT (smiles): I'll be out in a day! (sniffs): And you've been eating cocktail weinies, and french fries! RASPUTIN (nods): Had dinner with my family, we had dad's favorite foods! DAISY (hugs Rasputin again): I missed you, Rassy! Soon, Johnny Dash and Dianne Ladde rush into the room. JOHNNY (shocked): Cactus! Are you alright? Can you still sing? CACTUS JAKE (smiles): I'm just bruised up, that's all, no sweat! JOHNNY (smiles): That's great! We'll have the CD ready to release in a few months. Where can I reach you? FLASH (smiles): Just contact the Road Rovers, they'll get a message to us! HUNTRESS (nods): And I'll see to that personally! Anything for my favorite cousin! JOHNNY (wide smile): Wonderful! Is there anything I can get you? CACTUS JAKE (shouts): PIZZA!!!! HUBERT (shouts): I'd prefer a hot dog, with onions and relish! JOHNNY (nods): Write it down, Miss Ladde! You've go it, guys! HUNTER (reenters the room): I just got a call from the Texas Rangers, they have Donovan Bell and his gang in custody! HUNTRESS (shouts): TO THE POWER OF THE PACK!!!
