Buffy arriving back from L.A. seems different. She is meaner and the gang suspects it having something to do
with her and the Master. Unfortunately, they are more right then they think. The Annointed One and his
followers work together to dig up the Master's bones in preparation to resurrect him. They kidnap the people who
were physically closest to him when he died, so that they can use them in the ritual. Buffy barely makes it back
in time to save them and stop the Annointed One from bringing the Master back to life. Xander, Willow and the gang
forgive Buffy for her meanness and they all move on.

I think this shows that Buffy has a strong relationship with her friends. Seeing as she was responsible for their near
death experience but they all still remained friends!
