The Arms of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies
The arms above are those of the Kingdom of the
Two Sicilies. This Kingdom encompassed all of southern Italy approximately
south of Rome, (the present-day regions of Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Puglia,
Basilicata, Calabria, and Sicilia), prior to the unification of Italy in
1860. The Kingdom's flag was these arms centered on a white field. I show
the arms here because they are hard to find and because my pre-1860s ancestors were
subjects of this Kingdom.
Italian Anthems - If you have a sound card,
you can hear the three anthems of Italy from 1860 to the present.
