Cait Sith is a little mechanical cat who rides around on a stuffed mog he 'magically' brought to life and controls with his megaphone. In fact, he himself is controlled by Reeve back at ShinRa HQ, acting as a double spy - first for ShinRa, then for Cloud's party.
He's probably the most useless character in the game. His Limit Break might be fun to watch, but it's too unreliable to be any use against bosses. Possibly the only good point about him is that, being a stuffed toy, he has a very high Vitality and can take a lot of damage, so doesn't need to sit in the back ranks.
Cait Sith's Limit Breaks
Level 1
Dice
Cait Sith throws some dice. The higher his level, the more dice he throws, up to a maximum of 5. The total is multiplied by 100 to give the total damage to one enemy. This is a moderately useful Limit Break.
Level 2
Slots
A very unpredictable attack which can go horribly wrong. Cait Sith starts a slot machine rolling, which has 3 slots. Press Circle to stop the slots. The combination of slots determines the attack, and the best attacks are harder to get.
3 Stars: Mog Dance
A cute little mog appears and dances round the whole party, fully restoring everyone's HP, MP and status. Quite easy to get.
3 Kings: Toy Soldiers
6 little toy soldiers appear and attack each enemy in a group for medium damage each. Quite hard to get.
3 Bars: Summon
Cait Sith casts a random summon spell. He can cast any summon, even if he doesn't have the materia equipped. Hard to get.
3 Mogs: Transform
Cait Sith grows to a giant size, swallowing up the other party members. This means that he is the only character participating in battle, so if he dies, it's Game Over. There's no way to get the other characters back, so be careful. There are advantages, though - Cait Sith's HP increases to 9999 and all his stats increase. This is the most likely outcome of the slots.
3 Hearts: Lucky Girl
A girl appears and increases the party's hit percentage to maximum. Hard to get.
2 Cait Sith Face + Bar: Death to All
This is the unluckiest slot. Everyone dies, including your party. Game Over. Oh dear. Don't worry - this is quite hard to get.
3 Cait Sith: Instant Victory
All enemies are instantly killed. This is indiscrimanate and will work on bosses, including Safer Sephiroth and Emerald and Ruby WEAPONS. Veeeerrrryy nice. The catch? It's damn near impossible to get.
Cait Sith has no Level 3 or 4 Limit Breaks, so has no Limit Break manual.
