Welcome to the Barking Cat Coffee page! This is the home of the newest and most exciting coffee blends I have ever tasted. Barking Cat Coffees came to be because there are two beverages I am passionate about -- and coffee is one of them. I travelled all over Europe looking for that enigmatic blend of richness and satisfying flavor. Then I went to truck stops, mom and pop restaurants, and all night diners. After much trial and error, I finally hit on a winning blend -- Barking Cat Coffees.
Why are we called Barking Cat? Because this name brings to mind something out of the ordinary. What makes Barking Cat Coffee different from all the rest? Our blends are slow roasted in the Athens, Georgia area. Here the coffee is as mysterious as the city itself -- from the clandestine mumble of early REM lyrics to the after hours strum of a busker on the square. Most things here happen after midnight... including coffee roasting.
The glare of the all night diner is a beacon for the cowboy angels, sleepless truckers and musicians on the road. Smoke curls around your cup of joe and the jukebox blares "Six Days on the Road." Your fingers are numb from playing 'til the jingle jangle morning. Your pockets are full of dust and lint. Your soul is full from a job well done. The coffee is run of the mill. It'll get you home but it leaves you empty. You wish you had some Barking Cat.. you say to yourself " Why don't I have Barking Cat?"- Billy Barfly.

Barking Cat Dark Roast - full bodied, adventurous, for those not afraid of the dark side.
Barking Cat Medium Roast - intriguing, not so dark, but just as mysterious.
Barking Cat Decaf - for those times when you crave sleep, but long for a flavorful cup of refreshment.
Barking Cat Espresso- for those times when you want thick and dark!
Barking Cat Coffees are reasonably priced: Only $9.00 per pound by mail-including postage.
We also have local delivery rates which start at $7.00 per pound.
