I enjoy watching the McLaughlin Group every sunday on PBS, but I doubt the
following issues will ever be announced before the group. I do wonder why
the so called religous right seem to ignore the fact that we are destroying
mother nature, a large and integral part of creation, not to mention a
direct gift from God.
Now this weeks issues!
Issue one - Are we poisoning our environment while using up the earths
resources at an alarming rate, just like yeast cells in sugarwater?
Issue two - If we continue this selfish behaviour at our current rate,
will our environment become extreamly hazardous, leaving our children to
suffer?
Issue three - Are many people in the United States and elsewhere tired
of our children being spoon-fed consumerist values through the media,
only leading to more environmental and even spiritual suffering?
Finally, Issue four - Are family values outgunned by a media sustained
consumerist value of "more is better"?.
The answers are an astounding "YES" on all issues. The moral of the story is
"Know Thyself". If you value the environment your creator gave to you and your
subsequent prodigy, don't polute it through a shallow consumerist lifestyle.
If you value family time don't forsake it for material things like a larger
house, nicer car and creditcard debt.
