Here are the latest and greatest pictures of the project. In these pics
you will see that the bottom of the aircraft is filled and sanded with
Smooth Prime from Poly Fiber. So far I really like this stuff. After
pushing the airplane out on the ramp to flip it over I decided to lit it sit
out in the California sun to heat up and post cure the epoxy a bit. It
didn't take long and it was almost too hot to touch. Notice the un-carved
blocks of foam glued to the wing tips, they look kinda funky huh? After I
pushed her back into the hanger I spent the rest of the afternoon shaping
the tops of the wing tips as you can see in the bottom pics. The last pic is
the nose bowl I plan to use.
