 Story Behind Nataku:
When young Kazuki's body was finally over come by sickness, she died with both her grandfather and father beside her, and with her father, Masaki unabling to except her death he promised that he would bring her back by using his research on cloning. Even though he knew that his young daughter was fated to become a Dragon of Earth he continued on with his promise, but as he pursued on with his experiment a problem rises, they couldn't fully restore Kazuki's body. Since Kazuki's body couldn't be fully restored, Masaki committed suicide to supply the necessary tissue needed to successfully clone his daughter, which is the reason why Nataku looks male. Using Kazuki's mature womb and the tissues supplied by Masaki, Nataku was created, but even though Kazuki wasn't reborn (I guess that's the proper term to use) her last memories were pasted down to Nataku. With Kazuki's memories/feeling of her father, Nataku expresses affection to Fuma because it thinks that he's his daddy. Also, since Nataku thinks that Fuma is its father, it'll follow Fuma with complete loyalty. (Masaki and Fuma look alike causing Nataku to think this way, but Fuma seems to look like everyone.) *sweatdrops*
Opinion:
I think that Nataku is the most interesting character out of the entire X cast because its backround is completely different from the rest of the characters. Also, I think Nataku needs to be ALL male because its so kawaii! *sniff and sob*
Basic Information (small script was taken from the manga):
(Two scientist and the President of the Lab are all looking at Nataku, whom is in it's lab tube)
Female Scientist: Blood pressure 60, 65, 70, 72... normal. Pulse Rate?
Male Scientist: Check!
President: Any damage?
Female Scientist: Nothing out of the ordinary. Blood pressure and pulse rate are both normal and there's none of the usual rise in white blood count. No problems in vision or hearing either. We were shocked when it came back all bloody. Even if its cells regenerate to some extent it's blood flows the same as any human. But this time the blood came from someone else. You know it still doesn't seem real to me... It's as if.. as if it's a beautiful doll.
Male Scientist: A "Doll"...? I think not! Nataku is human? Genetically, it's completely human... although artificial to be sure. A human made by humans--- developed within our own computer controlled amniotic tanks untouched by nature from start to finish! A life conceived by genetic manipulation...born from a synthetic womb. Since ancient days, scientist have aspired to such creation-- to manufacture life without the necessity of a woman...
Female Scientist: I heard that you were the one that named it "Nataku," Mr. President.
President: It's the name of a god in Chinese Mythology-- a god that has no soul. Born as a chunk of flesh, remade into a fully formed human, by still it didn't have a soul within. Nataku is the same. The body is human, but it has no soul, no emotion. Nataku is an empty vessel, with neither joy nor anguish. There is nothing that it loves or hates. It is merely live and nothing more.
Female Scientist: Nataku doesn't even have a sex? Not man (he should male I say!) or woman without gender or sentiment like an angel came to earth. So this is the limit for a life form that didn't originate from a female body. But we finally finished it... We DID!
Male Scientist: From start to finish-- 30 years of work! Tojo Pharmaceuticals has secretly allocated one third of it's budget to Nataku! Money well spent, I think for the end of the world...
(they walk away from Nataku, and into another room)
