... We are located within a 1/2 hour drive from NYC at 188 Merritts Rd. Farmingdale, Long Island, NY in the rear of the Merritt Shopping Center.

To get to the West Island Model RR Club by car:

From the Northern State Pkwy. or Long Isl. Expy (I-495) Exit at the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expy. (Rt. 135)-South . Exit at Hempstead Tpke (Rt. 24) East--1 mile to Merritts Rd. -Right turn (under RR bridge) continue for 1/4 mile to shopping center on right side....

From the Southern State Pkwy. exit at the Bethpage Pkwy. (Exit 31N) Get off at the first exit-Boundary Av. Straight to Merritts Rd. Make a right turn on Merritts Rd. and proceed two blocks to the shopping center on the left.

Entrance to the club is behind the stores in the rear. Look for the sign at the stairway to the basement. Free parking in and around the shopping center . Phone # 516-293-0994

We are accessible by the L.I.R.R. but you should take a taxi from the Farmingdale train station to the club. The club is only 5 minutes by car from the station which is about 1.5 miles away.
