One
of the more challenging trips to do here is an attempt to climb up Mt.
Kinabalu, with 4095m the highest peak of South-East Asia.
On
the way to the peak someone can find out for the rare Rafflesia, the worlds
largest flower or watch the local Kadasan people rushing up and down the
mountain in record speed. All over Sabah there are lots of golf courses,
even enthusiastic golfers will enjoy the variety of of courses designed
and built by professional golfers from overseas.
Among the favorites
however are the trips along the Kinabatangan River
with many parts still as untouched as a hundred years ago. Orang Utans
and the shy Proboscis monkey as well as many hornbills, elephants, the
rare Sumatran rhinoceros, clouded leopards and many other rare animals
can be seen here. Ask us for our special 3 days/ 2 nights Kinabatangan
River Trip which includes a visit of Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, night
boat trips on the river, jungle walks, a visit to the Gomantong Caves (bird
nests), etc. Or are you interested in watching turtles lay their eggs?
During an overnight trip to Turtle Island National Park you can experience
under professional guidance the strenuous activity of digging, egg laying
and covering by large sea turtles that come out to the beaches every night
all year round.
