Puhhh, after over 20 hours of flight, including a stop-over in Hongkong, the plane was finally going to touch down in Sydney, Australia.

After the crowded, hot and very humid weather in Hongkong the Australian winter welcomed me with sun and medium temperatures around 15º C.

Well, who would have ever thought that just one year after a fantastic holiday in Canada, I would go again to another great place so far away from home.
I guess I have to blame all the Australians I met on my tour. They made me very curious to visit this country.

So now, one year after Canada, the plane rolled to its final docking destination over the runway. While I was recovering from the desinfection spray, the Japanese couple sitting next to me was recovering from the shock they had when the desinfection clouds suddenly invaded the whole interior cabins. Later I realized that they probably first thought of terrorist gas attack.

While waiting to pass immigrations and customs I remembered the time when I tried to convince my boss that it would be a good idea to give me five weeks holiday in a row. Weeks later, when he was not in such a good mood as he was when I had asked him, he was quite shocked that he really agreed ;-).

Julie, a friend from my Canada holiday, already waited for me in the arrival area. For the next four days she was a fantastic host and great guide to Sydney. Many, many thanks to you, Julie!
