Rarely
does a monster truck driver dominate the USHRA Monster Jam in the manner that Tom Meents
dominated the 2000 Wrenchead.com Monster Jam series. Meents maneuvered the Goldberg
monster truck, owned by WCW's Bill Goldberg, "in his own meents style" to
victory and became the very first Wrenchead.com Monster Jam World Finals Champion.
Meents obliterated the tracks and his competition last season. Week
after week he managed to stun crowds while drawing them in with his extraordinary driving
abilities. He hooked up at the beginning of the season in his brand-new Goldberg Monster
Truck and tore-up the track from coast to coast by taking first place in a record 8 out of
9 events on the TNN Motor Madness Monster Jam Tour.
Along the way he smashed and crushed everything in his path and without fear
threatened all competitors with Bill Goldberg's famous quote, "Who's Next!!" His
freestyle performances were nothing less than mechanical acrobatics; he literally had the
Goldberg truck doing cartwheel roll-overs, wheel stands and let's not forget his signature
move: the death-defying Cyclone Donut. Meents completely demolished four different
Goldberg truck bodies in just 12 weeks. Meents is truly a master of his machine.
Tom Meents' monster truck racing career began in 1993 when he sat behind the
steering wheel in the MONSTER PATROL truck. Tom made a name for himself as the "Wing
walking mad man" and captured the first ever championship on ESPN2's Inside Monster
Jam in 1998.
Goldberg is pro wrestling's greatest gladiator and the owner of wrestling's
longest winning streak. Goldberg's monster truck has quite a reputation to uphold, and who
better to continue the Goldberg tradition other than driver Tom Meents? Join the crowds in
chanting GOLDBERG! GOLDBERG! GOLDBERG! at upcoming U.S. Hot Rod events in a city nearest
you.
If First Quarter 2001 is any thing like Winter 2000 you won't want to miss the
incredible performances that live crowds witnessed this year. Watch for Tom Meents and the
Goldberg Monster Truck in early 2001 .... they may be coming to a U.S. Hot Rod Event in a
city or town near you. |
