KANAWAY

Sailing Yacht

The 45' Sailing Yacht - Kanaway, is designed by the International designer, Bruce Roberts and constructed by Bruce Broussard currently located in Cebu, Philippines.
The Kanaway has been conceived for around the world cruising and designed with ease of use and crew comfort & safety staying the focus.
The Kanaway is currently moored in port in Cebu, Philippines.

The Kanaway is constructed of steel with fine woods used in her interior.  She is 45 ft. in length with a beam of 13 ft. and a draft of 6 plus ft.  This yacht is cutter rigged and sports a 58 ft. Isomat mast.  She has twin back stays and has running back stays to support the inner stay sail.

The Anchor Windlass is of the Nielson type and is exceptionally strong.  There is 200 ft. of anchor chain stored in an exceptionally roomy chain/rope locker.
She has three anchors:
one 72 lb. plow
two large Danforths, U.S. Navy type.
Besides the large sheet winches, there are winches on each side of the cockpit to handle the lanyards and the roler furling/reefing control line.

There is a very large Lazerette, (stowage), in the stern.  All vertical stainless steel tubing, i.e., Push-pit, Pull-pit and staunchions, are 318 U.S. heavy wall tubing, and is reinforced by inserted steel tubing.

She is equipped with Radar, VHF radio, Speed Log, Depth gauge and GPS (Garmin-50).  Below decks, the auxiliary engine is a Yanmar 3 cylinder, 54 hp. diesel and exceptionally strong steering.  Tankage is 4 fresh water, 2 diesel main and 1 (88 liter) day tank.

The Galley Stove is a Force-10 (Canadian made), and there is a very large freezer/refrigerator.

Please Remember, the Kanaway is a new yacht.  She has only been out on shake-down cruises a few times.  If you are interested in a live aboard cruising yacht that has been built to withstand the roughest, and bring you home smiling, then you need to go through this boat.

Nothing was spared during the 6 years building her.  I want to take this opportunity and thank you for being interested in the Kanaway.  Please accept a heartfelt invitation to take a complete tour, (even under the floors).  It is certain that you will fall in love with this lady.

And for those of you who were wondering about the seriousnes and degree of comfort, even the head is lavish and spacious.  Fiberglass over plywood constructions is used to completely seal all nooks and crannies insuring a sanitary environment.
