This B-25 "Mitchell" of the "Air Apaches" has had extensive detailing to the cockpit, bomb bay, engines, and landing gear. B>

This P-38 Lightning is modeled after Richard Bong's "Marge". The cockpit and open weapons bay received the most detailing.

P-61 Black Widow night fighter. I spent two months working on detailing the cockpit area and engines of this plane. It was also my first attempt to do weathering, however crude it may have turned out I still won a first and a third place award in two different contests.

B-24D Liberator "Teggie Ann" of the 376th bomb group, the "Liberandos".

I spent five months doing research on this aircraft, which led me to the pilot who flew her in the raid on the Ploesti. Eighteen months after I spoke with the pilot, the plane and diorama base was finished.

"Teggie Ann" flown by Col. Keith K. Compton, named after his daughter, was the lead ship during the raid. The crew were all volunteers for this mission, they all had over the required 50 missions for rotation back to the states. Teggie Ann and the crew survived the mission, but not without any damage.

Teggie Ann was full of holes from ground fire, and she lost a bomb bay door in a tree!

Two month later she was shot down in Turkey during a bombing raid with another crew.
