It's funny that I do not remember the first day I met her. She was a classmate of my daughters and it seemed they quickly made friends. They where a lot alike, not just in age but personality. She was generally quite, but had a bubbly personality and sense of humor that were a delight to be around. However, like Sharisse, Alicia had a mind of her own and was very headstrong. The girls did not always see eye-to-eye but like all good friends they always seem to work it out and put their differences behind them. I always admired her for her spirit. I believe her contribution to the world would have been a great one no matter what she chose to do in life. A veterinarian maybe? Or a singer? Maybe a model? Or an actress? Personally I thought she would have been a good lawyer. Because she was always good at presenting a good case as to why she should get to stay the night with Sharisse! It is truly a crime that this bright, active little girl will never get the chance to do all the things that should have been in her future. Like make-up and boys, prom and graduation, falling in love and getting married, and that feeling a mother gets the first time she looks at her baby. All this and SO MUCH MORE has been taken from her and her family. I cannot express in words the sadness and anger my family and I feel at the loss of Alicia. Or the terrible heartache we feel for her parents and sister.
