Jen's Toy and Book Drive for Kids

Our JNP book drive last Christmas gathered over 5,000 books for needy kids & showed everyone how great Nsync fans are. Nsync themselves were even impressed. Its been 8 months since that charity...and its time we help out again, only more special and exciting this time!

For this charity, we are working directly with Shriner's Childrens Hospitals. http://www.shrinershq.org/ These hospitals are located throughout the U.S., and offer free care to children suffering burns, illnesses, and disorders. During their stay in the hospitals, the kids have'wish lists' of things that would help comfort them (many are in severe pain, lonely, etc). So, we are going to GATHER TOYS FOR THE KIDS!! =)

I'm asking that each of you send in SOMETHING. You can send as much as you want, but please try to at least donate one item. You can find very inexpensive toys at places like Walmart, The Dollar Tree, etc. Anything is appreciated! Below is a long list of ideas of what these children are wanting. The kids range in age from one year olds to older teens.

We are working with 4 hospital sites. I'm going to have you pick the hospital that is closest to your area, and send your donations to the JNP girl in charge of that delivery (addresses below).

SUGGESTIONS FOR TOYS *note-these MUST be NEW b/c they're in hospitals*
-Teddybears or other stuffed toys
-Dolls
-puzzles (the guys said the youngsters love these)
-small toys that make noise (toddlers love them)
-coloring books and crayons
-reading books
-paints or markers
-hair accessories
-little make up kits for the girls
-video tapes
-cassettes and cds (appropriate music)
-magic kits, paint kits, etc
-balls (but NO LATEX...burn victims cant be around it)

Please make SURE to get your donation(s) to us BY SEPTEMBER 5th!

That gives you about a month. Then we will be delivering them the following week. We will be filming the deliveries and taking pix that i'll share with all of you. I'm also putting together something to give to NSYNC to show them what we're doing. :)

If for some reason you cannot mail in a toy, but still want to buy one for a child, email one of us about it.
