On why they play the Rolling Stones on the PA before every gig:
Chris Kirkpatrick: "Our production manager is a huge Rolling Stones fan. And he started playing the Rolling Stones at one of our very first gigs. And now it's become a tradition. And he'll be afraid that something will happen if he never plays the Rolling Stones."

On the Super Bowl with Aerosmith:
JC Chasez: "Those guys have the heart and soul of music. It like breathes inside of them. And we, just being around them, you take in so much...And you can't say enough about them as people. They are the nicest guys to every person they encounter."

On paying their dues:
Chasez: "You have to get there by doing the small venues as well. And people kind of take that away from you once you are already in a big place. We did club tours. We did state fairs, you know. We did it all just like everybody else."

On Michael Jackson's anniversary concert in September:
Chasez: "As far as dancing with Michael, it's going to be amazing no matter how you cut it. In some way, shape or form, Michael has affected everybody in the music industry -- every writer, every singer, everyone... To collaborate with somebody like that, that's a dream that we've all had."

On being regular guys:
Kirkpatrick: "I think we are basically five of the most average Joes you'll ever meet in your life. People meet us and go, 'I didn't realize you guys were just so cool.' It's just like we're not trying to be anything we're not. We just have a good time. We enjoy people. We enjoy hanging out with everybody. We enjoy our music. We enjoy what we do. We enjoy touring. We enjoy every aspect of our job."
