ALL MEETINGS ARE SUSPENDED DUE TO NEW VENUE ORANISING
We haven't had one of our monthly meetings for quite a while now, the main reason is the venue we were using was costing us too much and we don't want to charge people more than we have to when covering expenses.
We are on the look out for another suitable venue that can be booked for the second Saturday of the month, 7 till 9pm, if anyone can assist we would be more than gratefull.
Meetings will cover a particular subject concerning the Paranormal and give the members a chance to report new findings and discuss any subject without fear of ridicule.
The meetings cannot be a free for all and must follow the standard protocol of organization meetings talk will usually be given on a subject of interest, followed by discussion. The last part of the meeting concerns the running of the group and avenues of investigation.
Membership is free, all we ask is that members help to cover the cost of room hire and other group expenses etc.
AS A MEMBER YOU WILL SHARE IN THE RUNNING OF THE GROUP AND ANY DECISIONS MADE
ALL MEMBERS MUST SIGN TO THE RULES OF THE SOCIETY
All membership costs and expenses incurred are the responsibility of each individual and will not be covered by or redeemed by the Society.
All members will be assessed by a core member before being allowed to join. This is usually done over a few meetings to see how you behave etc.
A trial period will be served whilst a potential member is instructed in the methods of investigation , a certain knowledge of Astronomy, use of apparatus and Paranormal background information must be learnt before becoming a fully fledged recruit.
No investigations can be carried out until the trial period is served, unless sanctioned by the core membership.
An active investigation should be carried out by more than one individual.
No Occult practices are allowed within the group, we respect and encourage individual beliefs and views but cannot condone other procedures other than the ones laid down by the society, e.g. Ouija boards etc.
Never trespass, always be courteous and polite and respect peoples privacy.
Try and inform the local authorities of any Investigation that may be seen by the public, this prevents misunderstandings.
All information gathered becomes the property of the society as a whole.
No one must contact the media, or give interviews other than the PR officer (G Cartlidge).
You must sign a disclaimer to take part in an investigation, any injury is not the responsibility of the society, also you must get written permission to investigate someone or something.
The rules cover you even if you leave the Society, the Society will always come first.
Any member who becomes unruly or drinks excessively at a meeting or investigation will be removed from the Society immediately.
Membership can be revoked at any time if deemed necessary by the Founder. ( this will be notified by post)
A full membership pack will be sent out by post if required, you may be given a Questionnaire to fill out to find out if you are suitable for membership, this may seem extreme but we have had our fair share of crackpots etc. In the past.
In order for people to participate in an investigation it is essential that they attend the monthly meetings, these are designed to educate you and help us work together at running the group
Once you have filled out your membership forms etc. We will instruct you in the basics that you will need to become an integrated member of BPRS, this will keep everyone along the same lines. Once you have full filled the course and trial period you can then set up your own Investigations, but remember to keep us informed of these events and their results.
We used to have a few more core members but for what ever reasons they seem to have stayed away so we are looking to add to the core membership soon - can you take the responsibility????????
Garry Cartlidge- Founder
These are the members that have been actively involved since the beginning and as such hold the majority vote in the main running of the society, they will have the ultimate decision on the way the group is directed and the investigations we participate in but the ultimate decision must be passed by the founder member.
The Guest book is an ideal Area to not only place comments but list any UFO and Ghost Sightings you may have had - these will be followed up when possible and a reply given to the outcome
