Have you ever went to ride somewhere and couldn't figure out where to park? Just for a little example we talked to some snowmobilers from Cedar Rapids who came here to ride back in December and they ended up lost and unloading in Burton! For locals you realize this is funny. They ended up way out in the boondocks. Anyway on to the parking spots.
If you are coming to Platteville are and looking for a place to park there is a drop off point at Pioneer Lanes Bowling Alley with access to the state trail from there. You may also drop off at the old Town and Country Tire building. That is going to be tougher to find then the bowling alley but I will try to explain it the best I can.
If you are going down business 151 heading West you will go past KFC/Taco Bell on the left, Pizza Hut and McDonalds on the right then you are going the right way. Go up the hill around the corner and as you are leaving town you will see a old blue building on the right. It's right before the overpass crossing Interstate 151. You can easily tell it's a old mechanics shop of some sort, pull in and park there. Just don't block the doors on the buildings as they are used for storage. The trail access is on the opposite side of the road towards the highway, you can't miss that.
Thank you Jeremy! Jeremy is one of our club members who made this flyer to help persuade people in town to trailer out there rather then ride streets to get out of town and he also made it possible to park at the old town and country building.
Also please remember riding on city streets is illegal and you will be ticked if you are caught.
