Nathaniel Doggett and Rebecca Miller

Nathaniel, of Rehoboth, Massachusetts  was born in the middle of August 1661.
He was the son of John Doggett and Anne Sutton Daggett.

He settled on land inherited from his family and  was a wheelwright and a weaver by trade.

On June 24, 1686, he married Rebecca Miller. They were both twenty five. The Millers had been early settlers in the area. They came from England about the same time as the Doget Family.

Nathaniel was listed as an inhabitant and as a proprietor of land in Rehoboth. The land he held was his under a grant by Governor William Bradford.

During his lifetime he changed his name from Doggett to Daggett.

Nathaniel and Rebecca had eight children, all born in Rehoboth.

Their children:

Nathaniel was born on August 11, 1688 and he died eleven days later

Rebecca was born on October 8, 1689

Elizabeth was born on November 14, 1691 and died three months after

Jemima was born on December 12, 1692

Nathaniel was born on April 3, 1695

John was born on March 16, 1698/99 *

Abigail was born on March 19, 1700/01

Amos was born on January 18, 1702/03

Nathaniel died in 1708 at age forty seven.

His wife Rebecca was the Executrix of his estate. She died on April 9, 1711 in Rehoboth. They are both buried in Barrington, RI.
