Seton Hill College Class of 1985!

Well, the 2000 Reunion is now history! Thanks to everyone who came and to those who were there in spirit! We saw Mary Margaret McKinney, Ginger Manges Weaver, Janice Burkhardt Hylton, Joy Jenko, Carol Gelet (congratulations on your award!), Sharon McGrath and Carrie Pohl as well as yours truly and Alison White.

At the class meeting, we decided to begin preparing for the 2005 reunion NOW! The Reunion Committee will be comprised of four individuals - Mary Margaret McKinney, Ginger Manges Weaver, Alison White and myself. Together we felt we could contact more people more frequently and also make some changes about the way we handle our reunions!

One idea we will be undertaking is to have a "reunion" every June at the college. That way we don't have to wait five years and also, we will get to see people from classes who were here when we were - like our big and little sisters, girls we may have R.A.'ed and just friends from other years. We'll also be in touch every few months with news and information about events at the college and to let you know about the reunions!

Another undertaking we are making is to begin raising money to leave a lasting memorial for our classmate, Julie Louisnathan, who is no longer with us. We felt a contribution in her name or a lasting memorial would be more than appropriate and something we, as a class, would very much like to do.

Finally, we appointed Ginger Manges Weaver as our third news agent. When you leave a message in our guestbook here or send an email to the sight, it will be sent directly TO Ginger who will make sure that it reaches Ellen Griener immediately for publication in the Forward! This includes any pictures you may have as well! We want lots of news since so many of us have lost touch! Take a moment to send a note and your email or snail address to us so we can pass it along!

The website will be a continuing and interactive part of our "virtual" reunion! Take a moment to share some memories about life at the Hill, say hi to some friends or just give me some ideas which would make this page better!

I have also made a password protected "photo gallery"...that is, if you send me photos you'd like to share with our classmates, THEY and ONLY they will be able to view them with a unique password I will mail to all who request it!

The reunion was absolutely wonderful! We were able to attend the State of the College address to hear all the wonderful new happenings at the Hill and how strong the college is at this time! Unfortunately, some of us couldn't visit our old rooms in Admin since, through a million dollar grant, the building is being completed restored and turned into a high-tech, complete-with-elevators-dontcha-know, office building! The work is scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2001 but could be completed as early as Fall. Watch your mail when you'll receive an invitation to come back and see everything old thats new again in Admin!

Finally, it was great to see everyone. It was like 15 years ago on Saturday night as we all stood outside on the stairs to Canevin-Lowe and told jokes and stories and laughed until they almost locked us out! Its a wonderful feeling to be wrapped up in that feeling we all had when we were students there so many moons ago!

Also, many apologies for the inconvenience of the address of this website not re-routing! My own computer crashed shortly after I made this page and I had a hard time getting my graphics and webpage generating software back online :( I wasn't able to do everything I had wanted to do PRIOR to the reunion but hopefully now that I am back online we can get the virtual reunion going!!!

Remember we also have a message board and a chat room to try out!!!

Hazard yet Forward Class of '85....let's see if we can account for everyone and have a wonderful "virtual" reunion!
