The following are links to other sites which I have found to be good sources for gaming news, LAN parties, and such:

UNGA: Utah Network Gamers Association

A local organization which organizes regular LAN parties. Their site also hosts a discussion forum, and they have a mailing list as well. I attended the last Meltdown party and had an absolute blast.

Fore-Arm

Another local outfit which organizes LAN parties. Membership is required (see their site for details.) I attended their last event as well and all was good and well organized.

LANfanatic

A guy who goes by the nick "Moose" organizes and holds regular "LF Brawl" LAN parties. While I had to bail out at the last minute for the last party, I had the opportunity to meet Moose at both the UNGA and Fore-Arm events, and he's a great guy and very helpful person.

LanParty.com

A site which brings you the latest news from the LAN gaming scene around the world. Comprehensive listings for LAN parties on every spot on the globe, and plenty of other helpful information, from general party etiquette to organizing a LAN of your own.

GameSpot

IMHO, GameSpot provides some of the best news and information on the 'net for PC and Video gaming. They've got reviews and previews of games, free game guides, regular features of interest...heck, I could go on all day. Just check it out for yourself.

GameSpy

Another great starting point for game-related info. You can download GameSpy arcade, a utility which allows you to play many games over the internet. They also host several support communities for the most popular internet games.
