The Truth Behind Toie and Bird Studios
The company that produced the anime. The ones that started it all. They
are the ones that are responsible for the production of DragonBall. Like
Akira Toriyama, their original intentions were pure, doin' it for the money.
However... First, as was done in the previous pages, I shall explain the
history behind the company. Before it started making DragonBall. Toie
was already a large company, making tons of anime shows. Including the
popular show about ditzy girls, Sailor Moon. In 1985, they took a chance
on the young Akira Toriyama by producing his little show, DragonBall.
It was a failure of course, and Toriyama was going to end it when he
suddenly decided to continue it. The show became a success, which
meant a ton of money into the pockets of Toie, which recently became the
only anime company ever to be a part of the stock market. Toie went
on to produce hundreds of DB episodes, movies, specials, etc....
In 1991, Toriyama decided to end the show, but due to pressure from
the still money-hungry folks at Toie, he continued. The show went on to
make Toie even richer. But, to their dismay, in 1995 Toriyama was
through with the show, feeling burnt out on it, and decided to call it
quits. Toie, still feeling greedy and wanting to milk the show out of
every last penny, decided to create DragonBall GT, the continuation
of DBZ. They changed the animation style {made the characters look
freaky} and altered the focus of the show. Obviously, this show was
a big failure and was ended after 64 episodes. Akira Toriyama was
through with the show, and Toie and gotten every last cent out of it
they could. And are still making money even now as more folks
become fans. Thus ends this chapter to the story. But this is only
the common belief, the truth is much more shocking...

Prepare to be shocked...

The TRUTH

It all started in 1985, when Toie decided to start producing Toriyama's
show, DragonBall. At the time, their motives were as pure as Toriyama's,
doin' it for the money. However, the the show was a failure and Akira
Toriyama was going to end it when he mysteriously decided to continue it.
Toie, confused by his sudden change in decision, demanded to know what
was going on, refusing to continue with the show unless they got the full
story. Toriyama, knowing that he could not succeed in his plan unless
he had Toie doing the show, let them in on it. Toie, seeing money and
power in getting involved, went for it. Focusing a lot of their attention on
the production of the show. The show was a big success, and Toie was
racking in money. In 1991, to their horror, Toriyama, thinking that his
army was big enough, decided to end the show. But, to their delight,
he suddenly decided to continue it. Meaning more money for them.
In 1995, to their horror again, Toriyama decided to end the show once
and for all, positive that his army was big enough.Toie, still filled
with their greed for money, produced the garbage known as DBGT.
It failed and was ended after 64 episodes. However, they were happy,
they had milked the show of every last yen were still making money
as more and more people became fans. They were happy, and
Toriyama was happy. They were rich and Toriyama had achieved
power. But when he will decide to excercise that power is
unknown...
