The Truth Behind the Dubbies
It's time to face the truth.

The dubbies... Usually known as the idiots of the fandom. But in
reality, they are really just the poor brainwashed folks that just
happened to be unlucky enough to get hooked. There is no DBZ
addicts anonymous. Thus there is no help for them, or even for
the subbies. The addiction is too much to resist. The name 'dubbie'
refers to anyone who is a fan of the dubbed version of the show.
They are usually between the ages of 7 and 13, the folks that
watch Toonami and are too young to have access to the
Japanese version of the show. They are the young folks in
Toriyama's army, the ones he can use against their parents when
the time comes for world domination. The high-pitched whines
of young children will bring the adult population to their knees,
begging for mercy. They find the english version of the series
to be 'cool' because of the way Funimation has changed it
so that it will appeal to them. Which has, in turn, angered
the subbies who are on a mission to convert the dubbies
to subbies, but fail because they do it by telling the dubbies
that they are idiots for liking english DBZ, which only makes
them like it even more. While tamer than the subbies,
the dubbies are still willing to fight tooth and claw to defend
their show, and Toriyama know well that they will be reliable
soldiers when the time comes.
