------The Empress Motel was located at 101 Asbury Avenue and was open until at least 1989. A gay nightclub called Paradise now owns the building. It had 101 rooms, all with a television, a telephone, air-conditioning, and an outdoor patio. The motel also had a dining room, a cocktail lounge, and indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools.
