Koichi Kashiwaya Sensei
Chief Instructor for Ki Society USA
Koichi Kashiwaya Sensei began his Ki-Aikido training in Japan as a college student and came to the USA and worked and studied with Hirata Sensei in Seattle. Kashiwaya Sensei returned to Japan in 1975 and became an Uchi Deshi to Tohei Sensei. After he was released from Uchi Deshi training 1977 he moved back to the US and founded Rocky Mountain Ki Society. He became the Chief Instructor for Midland Ki Federation and later the Chief Instrutor for Ki-Aikido USA and relocated to Seattle where he lives and runs the late Hirata Sensei's Seattle Ki Society. Kashiwaya Sensei was recently promoted to Hachi Dan (8th degree black belt) and is Okuden in Ki Development. More complete information can be found on the Official Ki Society USA Web Page by clicking on the link above.

I have studied with Kashiwaya Sensei many times and can't say anything except that if you want to see and feel what Ki-Aikido should ideally be then you need to train with him. He tours the US, Canada and South America with regularity. Check the link above for his schedule of seminars.
