The "Facts" of Firefighting

-The Big One will come on a 15 degree night

-No one will return to clean equipment

-You will run a false alarm on a dirt road, one hour prior to the big parade

-Junior firemen will constantly be in trouble

-The hydrant you need will be dry

-The extinguisher you grab will be empty

-EMS personnel will ask you to hold the flashlight

-When the Big One comes, you will be out of town

-You will suck your SCBA dry while waiting to go in, subsequently missing your opportunity

-The engine will be gone after you bypass the scene to go to the fire station to get it

-When T-shirt/Hats are ordered, no one will tell you

-Eventually, you will be a Traffic Officer

-Eventually, you will be in charge of the Junior Firemen

-15 fire calls will run while your pager is broken

-Junior Firemen will say,"I forgot my report card", with a straight face
