Austrians in Spanish Service 1656

The strengths of Austrian troops being supplied to Spain (at that time without the expected supprot 7000 inf and 3000 cav) for use in northern Italy against Savoy-French Army of the Duke of Modena in 1656. The troops mutinied as service under Spanish colours was considered bad by the troopers.

Rgt Ranfft, 3060 men, this rgt was to be halved, one half sent to Italy ,one half to serve as a new rgt under Austrian colours.

10 company Rgts, 75 per cpy, the rest is "officers"
