This list covers the civil wars in Castile, the Catalan Revolt in Aragon, and Ferdinand of Aragon's defeat of the Castilian rebels and their Portuguese allies that united the two Kingdoms (1479), and the final war against Grenada. The republican army of the Catalan Revolt (1461-72) can have no more than the minimum of Spanish men at arms and otherwise only jinetes, militia and Almughavar elements. The united Kingdom of Castile and Aragon fielded large armies in the war against Granada at times up to 30,000 horse and up to 50,000 foot especially at the end. Midway through the war the Hermandad militia was turned into a regular force of infantry modeled after the Swiss and cavalry forces were modeled on the French companies of ordonnance. Guns which were few at the beginning of the war became numerous by its end. * Bombards must be mobile after 1487.

This list covers the Armies of Grenada until the Spanish conquest. Although Granada was a vassal of Castile there was some raiding back and forth with the Christians. Their capture of the border fortress of Zahara and enslavement of the garrison began the last war in 1481. It was one mainly of sieges, sorties and raids, the few battles came from attempts to relieve sieges or in one case as a result of civil war among rivals for the doomed throne of Granada.

This list covers the armies of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Tripolitania to the end of the period. The Portuguese capture of Ceuta in 1415 triggered the downfall of the Marinids of Morocco who were for a short while supplanted by the Hafsid Caliphate of Tunisia. The Hafsids were expelled from Morocco by the Wattasids after the middle of the century, while the Ziyanids gradually drove them from Algeria. The Portuguese exploited these conflicts to sack Casablanca (1468) and seize Tangier (1470) and the Spanish captured Melilla (1471). Minimum marked * applies only if Maranids or Wattasids of Morocco. ** Bombards must be in Fortifications of a BUA on a WW, and are immobile.
