Regt; pay abstract for travel allowance, etc., on march homeward at close of campaign

In 1776, sworn to at Rowley, April 9, 1777; Reported Deceased.

 

SPILLAR, Henry. Private, Capt. Nathaniel Waide's co. of volunteers, Col. John Baker's (3rd Essex Co.)

regt; muster roll dated April 17, 1775.

 

SPILLAR, Henry. Private, Capt. Steven Perkin,'s co., Col. Cogswell's regt.; enlisted September 22, 1776;

Discharged November 16, 1776; service 2 mos. 7 days, including 12 days (250 miles) travel home.

Roll dated North Castle.

 

SPILLAR, John. Corporal; report dated New York, April 27, 1776, made by said Spillar, of the quarter guard in Col. Baldwin's regt., consisting of one Corporal and 6 Privates; also, Corporal, Capt.. Thomas Mighill's co., Col. Loammi Baldwin's (26th) regt; pay abstract for travel allowance, etc., on march homeward at close of the campaign in 1776, sworn to at Rowley, April 9, 1777. 250 miles travel allowed

Thomas Naghill and his subalterns, dated New York; enlisted January 1, 1776; also Private, Capt. Maghills co., Col. Loammi Baldwin's regt; abstract for advance pay for January 1776, etc. also, pay abstracts for Feb.-May., 1776; also same co. pay abstract for June, 1776 dated New York.

 

SPILLER, Henry, Ipswich. Private, Capt. Thomas Burnham's co. which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775; service, 3 days.

 

SPILLER, Henry, Ipswich. Private, Capt. Nathaniel Wade's co. of minute-men, which marched April 19, 1775 to Mystic, on April 20th were ordered to Salem, on the 21st to Ipswich, thence to headquarters at Cambridge; service to May 10, 1775, 3 weeks.

 

SPILLER, Henry, Ipswich. Private, Capt. Robert Dodge's co. , Jonathan Titcomb's regt; marched from home April 25, 1777; service, 2 mos. 8 days, at Rhode Island, including travel (8 days) to and from camp. Roll certified at Warren.

 

SPILLER, Henry. Capt. John Dodge's co., Col. Jacob Gerrish's regt.; of guards; enlisted November 15, 1777; service to February 3, 1778, 2 mos. 28 days, at Charlestown; also, Private, Capt. Dodge's detachment of malitia, Col. Gerrish's regt. ; muster roll for February, 1778, dated Winter Hill; service guarding Lieut. Gen. Burgoyne's army.

Samuel Gerrish's) 38th regt. ; company return dated Sewall's Point, September 26, 1775; also, Capt. Mighill's co. , Col. Baldwin's regt. ; abstract for advance pay for January, 1776, etc. ; also, some co. same regt..; pay abstracts for February and March, 1776; also, Corporal, same co. and regt. ; pay abstracts for April and May, 1776; also, same co. and regt. ; pay abstract for June, 1776, dated New York; also receipt given to Col. Baldwin, dated Boston, January 6, 1779, signed by said Spiller, for travel allowance, etc., home at close of the campaign in 1776.

 

SPILLER, Samuel, Rowley. Private, Capt. Silas Adam's co., Col. Titcomb's regt.; service 2 months, probably in May and June, 1777; 9 days (180 miles) travel also to and from place of rendezvous; roll endorsed " for 2 Months Service at Rhode Island;" also, Capt, Jeremiah Putnam's co., Col. Nathan Tyler's regt.; enlisted July 10,1779; service to December 1, 1779, 4 mos. 21 days, at Rohde Island; also same co. and regt.; pay roll for December, 1779, allowing 1 mo., 5 days service at Rhode Island, travel (110 miles) included; also, descriptive list of men raised to reinforce the Continental army for the term of 6 months, agreeable to resolve of June 5, 1780, returned as received of Justin Ely, Commissioner, by Brig. Gen. John Glover, at Springfield, August 16, 1780; age, 20 years, stature 5ft, 8in, complexion dark, ; engaged for town of Rowley; arrived at Springfield August 13, 1780; marched to camp August 16, 1780, under command of Capt., Burbank.

SPILLOR, Henry, Ipswich. Private, Capt. David Low's co. of volunteers, 3rd essex Co. regt.; enlisted September 30, 1777; discharged November 7, 1777; service, 40 days, in a regiment commanded by Maj. Charles Smith under gen. Gates in Northern department and in Guarding Gen. Burgoyne's army to prospect Hill; company discharged at Cambridge.

 

SPILLOR, Samuel, Rowley. List of men raised for the 6 months service and returned by Brig. Gen. Paterson as having passed muster in a return dated Camp Totoway, October 25, 1780.
