The Beginning!

It started when my Dad took the family to the 1984 GM new car preview. That is when we spotted the Fiero for the first time. We loved the little car, but being only a two seater it wouldn't be purchased for this four person family. It wasn't until 1991 when I spotted a Fiero that I could buy for my first car. At the time I knew nothing about buying cars, but I got a crash course in it fast. The car (1984 white Fiero SE) was pretty much a mess. It had a blown motor, a damaged front clip, and was half buried in a snow bank. After thinking how cool it would be to own a sports car, I ended up buying the little car for a $1000 dollars. It was towed home and thus started my Fiero adventure!

My '84 Fiero

What's been done!

Well since I bought the car (in 1991) I have installed a new 4cyl engine. Repainted the car, 1989 Iroc Metallic Blue, mounted Crager S/S Rims mated with P235/60/R14 (rear) P195/70/R14 (front) Grand Am Radial GT tires. Placed yellow 1/4" pin stripe on the black rub strip, and limo tinted the windows. Covered the nose with a Le-Bra with the words Fiero on it, and mounted a pair of KC driving lights under the nose.

In 2001, I replaced the front and rear clips and door skins with thoses of a 1985 GT. Now with the car stripped down and molding less, it is time for the finishing touches. Under the front I have purchased a "chin spoiler" which needs to be installed. This winter (winter of 2002) I will finish the car and prepare it for paint. The color has not yet been chosen.

In the interior not much has changed. Installed a JVC (KS-FX230) cassette radio and a PRO-FILE 10 disc CD changer (located below the map pocket). Both units will be hooked up to a PRO-FILE California series 400 watt amp, which will power two 12 inch Hollywood subwoofers (currently located in the rear trunk, soon to be moved into the passenger compartment). GT ralley guages and new OEM seat covers are to be added in the near future. Other modifications will be done at a later date.

Old News!!

Still redoing the body and preparing the car for new paint. The interior is also getting some freshining up. New OEM seat covers need to be put on. The rally guages need to be wired into the 1984's wiring system.

New to the stable! As of December 21, 2001 I have found and purchased my second Fiero. An 1987 Fiero GT! However, this car is in rough shape right now but after I do a little TLC, it should start taking shape. I will post some pics of it before I start doing any work. The GT has all the toys. Power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, factory sunroof , A/C and it also has the factory subwoofer system were all standard on this car but it has an auto transmission. Anyway, I thought not bad for $400. Since both cars need paint, color schemes and idea's are running wild right now. My girlfriend has set her eyes on the '87 GT and has narrowed her color choice down to two colors. Hopefully when all is said and done we can show the two Fiero's at the car shows.
