Gliding on a misty breeze,
wings of golden light
Lifting with the current,
transformed before our eyes
Wings of distant beauty,
the glorious butterfly
A meadow in the sunset,
with leaves of gold around
Lying in the burnished leaves,
gently on the ground
Wings adorned with colors,
of natures recipe
Lost in awesome wonder,
the butterfly is me
Upon my breast the colors,
of nature's golden scene
Held within the magic,
of an elusive dream
Naked in the sunset,
the breeze upon my skin
Adorned in autumn's color,
fragrance in the wind
Wildflowers scent the meadow,
and touch against my skin
The butterfly is captured.
