The only reference that we've found to this is in </I><U>The Complete Labrador Retreiver by Helen Warwick</U>.  She reports;  </div> <div> <B> "Black on yellow is very raree indeed, but those who knew a well known yellow champion in England, with generations of yellow behind him, remember that he had a black spot on his rib that could only be noticed if the outer coat were well pushed back.  We had a yellow stud puppy by Ch. Lockerbie Blackfella similarly marked;  we first thought he had gotten in grease under the car;  the dark spot disappeared with his second coat but there were always a few black hairs amont the yellows in that spot."</B></div> <div> <I> </I><I>Honeybear has Ch.
