Ahhh, the nectar of the gods, the drink of IOWP members everywhere, Coors Light
(and that's pronouced 'Curs', by the way, not 'Cores'). Of all domestic brews this is
the one that I can stomach the best. I can drink Coors Light (and TRUST me, I have)
all night long, sleep for a few hours, then pop one open as soon as I wake up. Easy-going
and not at all very hoppy, this is a truly light light lager beer. In all honesty, it's damn
near to water, but it's still got alcohol in it, and it tastes like beer. So, there's nothing wrong
with drinking some down. Also of note is that it's pretty damn tasty even out of a can, though bottles
are still best.
Coors light has the distinction of being the first beer I ever really liked to drink.
Now I'd had beer before I went to college, mind you, but I pretty much just chugged it down
for the buzz and tried not to think about what I was drinking. Dad's faves at the time were Busch Light
and Old Milwaukee, and Budweiser is the king of beers in Greene County, so I had a taste for anything
BUT beer when it came to illegally consuming. Then comes my first keg party as a freshman at Indiana University.
If I remember right (and it's not that easy after that night) it was after Ohio State had beat our ass and there
was a kegger going on at Varsity Villas. So me and a bunch of my friends go there from the dorm, and lo and behold
there's a keg and you can bring your own cup. Well, I didn't have any liquor with me, so I decided to give the beer
a whirl with one of the small cups they had. I drank. It was good. I drank more. It was better!
I went out to the car and got my Long John Silver's 64oz. to-go cup and proceeded to fill and empty it three
(or maybe four) times. From that point on, I was hooked. I was also drunker than the proverbial
monkey, but that's another story.
VERDICT: EXTREMELY find beer for a domestic, drink some down!
