Well, I guess this is the general information page about myself. My name is Neal, and I was born and raised in Buford Georgia USA. For those of you who have never visited south eastern part of the United States, we are fairly easy going people. Unlike some of the northern states, we're allot slower paced.

Growing up in a small town has it's advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are that you live in a more friendly atmosphere. It's not uncommon for a stranger to wave hello to you. Also, the more relaxing atmosphere tends to make people regard others as being closer together. The disadvantages, however, are that we're sort of "removed" from other parts of the country. Also, we're not used to too much change. Being raised in such a small town has influenced my way of thinking.

Since I was young, I have always liked taking things apart to see what makes them work. It seems that putting the things back together was another story. I believe I have a natural tendency to learn new things. When personal computers were first being introduced into the market, I was fortunate enough to have my father buy a Commodore VIC-20 for me. Little did I know, that computers would end up being not only my hobby, but also my occupation. From the Vic-20, I moved on to a Commodore 64. During that time, I started to go online with local BBS's. Yes, I was online before the internet came to be what it is now. BBS's allowed one person to type a message, then post it. After you were through, the next person would call up, read the message, and post his replies (or his own message). All this sharing of information sparked my natural interest in learning. Several years later, my mother and father bought me an IBM 286 clone for Christmas. As with all computers, as newer and faster upgrades came available, it became necessary to update your own computer. Needless to say, that's what sparked my interest in the technological side of computers.

As each new processor came out, I would upgrade and/or buy new equipment. Because I was building computers since the early days, I've learned why and how things work on computers. It seems that the people getting into computers nowadays have allot of catching up to do. Since they haven't been around during the "DOS" days, allot of the "tricks and secrets" still elude them. Having this sort of knowledge combined with the affinity of technology gives me a skill that few have. Thus, I have went into computers for a living.

Although not very religious, My beliefs are "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". I believe that if you go by that one saying, the world would be a much nicer place to live in. I enjoy showing others how to do things, and at the same time, I learn a few things myself.

For those of you who wish to know, Here are my "specs" :)
