- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon honey (we made them without honey and they tasted just fine)
- 2 teaspoons salt (divided)
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1 beaten egg (we found that water worked well)
Disolve yeast in the warm water, in a bowl. Add the honey and 1 teaspoon salt and flour and mix well. Knead on a floury surface. Form into shapes desire and brush with the beaten egg (or water). Sprinkle with salt (you will only need one teaspoon salt if you sprinkle with course salt) and bake at 425 for 10 minutes.
Makes about 6 to 8 servings.
