Sugar Cookies




- 2/3 cup shorting
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg beaten light and fluffy (we use egg replacers®)
- 4 teaspoons milk (we use Riches non-dairy creamer 1/2 creamer 1/2 water will make milk)
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt


Cream the shorting, sugar and vanilla, Stir in the rest of the ingredients and dough. Divide the dough in half and chill for an hour. Roll out to 1/8 inch on floured surface cut into shapes bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
