VOLUME ONE CONCLUSION
This volume has examined the persons and status of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. It has shown the consistency and harmony of the Latter-day Scriptures with the Bible, demonstrating the legitimacy of the principles and doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in relation to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.
Why can’t non-Mormon Christianity see the clear biblical teaching of Heavenly Father having a three-dimensional physical body that is exactly identical with the physical appearance of Jesus Christ? Why can’t they see the idea of God being in an ontological omnipresent, nonmaterial, formless state is against the clear biblical teaching of God being in human form?
Why can’t certain religious groups who claim to believe in the NT as God’s Word discern the very clear teaching concerning the divinity of Jesus Christ and his equality with Heavenly Father? Why do some disbelieve in the very existence of the Holy Ghost as an entity?
John 8:43-47 Why is it you don’t understand what I say? It is because you can’t hear my word. You belong to your father who is the devil and you do the desires of your father. He was always a murderer and didn’t reside in the Truth because there is no Truth in him. When he speaks lies, he speaks what is natural for him for he is a liar and the father of lies. Because I tell you the Truth, you refuse to believe me. Who among you can convict me of any wrongdoing? If I am telling the Truth, why is it you won’t believe me? He who belongs to God hears God’s words. You don’t hear them because you don’t belong to God.
Could they have the companionship of the Holy Ghost to guide their churches [who is the Spirit of Truth (John 14:16-17; 15:26; 16:13; 1 Jn 4:6; 2:27; 5:6-10) and teaches the Truth about God and Christ (John 14:26; 15:26; 16:13-14)] when they disbelieve the main teachings of the NT? Could they be God’s true church when they reject the Truth about Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost? If they were the true church, they would accept and have the Truth about God and Jesus (John 8:43-47).
Must Mormonism be condemned for teaching the Truth? What should our attitudes be to those who tell the Truth (Amos 5:10; Gal 4:16)?
As far as I know, we are the only Christian body who accepts the true biblical teaching concerning Heavenly Father’s being. We agree with the majority of Christians that Jesus is God and Jehovah, and the Holy Ghost is a personage in equality with the Father and Son. However, the unique consistency of Mormonism with the biblical teaching about Heavenly Father is obvious for all with honesty and integrity to see.
I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church upon the earth and it is important for all of us to join it and stay faithful to Jesus and to his church. I know Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God. His actions in discerning the true biblical teaching and in bringing forth the Book of Mormon shows his legitimacy. How could this young man discover and teach the true biblical teaching about Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost, at his age, with his education, during his era? (Before the current concordances, lexicons, biblical research, computers, cd-roms, etc.) There are billions even today, who don’t know these basic biblical truths. I find his accomplishments dumbfounding since I don’t know of anyone who can even come close to what he did.
I know the Book of Mormon is God’s inspired Word and is complementary to the Bible. I arrived at this knowledge by praying to God for guidance concerning its truthfulness, and received an answer I can’t deny. The more I study the Bible, the more I see the central teachings of the LDS church. This volume has shown Mormonism is biblically accurate concerning our conceptions of the members of the Godhead. All the honest in heart who take the time to examine the references furnished in this volume will receive scriptural and intellectual testimonies of the truthfulness of the LDS church. Don’t stop there. Get the certitude of the Truth that only a sincere prayer to God can provide since he knows more than any of us. Read and study the Book of Mormon and ask God in sincerity if it is true. I know from experience that he does answer a sincere and honest prayer. He will answer your prayer to him. Listen to what he says and obey.
