CHAPTER 7
JESUS: Created vs Uncreated
We view Jesus as the Firstborn child of Heavenly Father. He is the eldest of all the spirit offspring of God (Col 1:15; Heb 1:6; Acts 17:29; Heb 12:9- see MORMONISM: Section 5).
Heavenly Father appointed Jesus to create the universe under his direction. Jesus is responsible for the Big Bang which is the origin of time, space, matter and energy within our universe (Isa 40:25-26; John 1:1-3; Col 1:13-17; etc.) which means he existed prior to the Big Bang.
The determination of the proper label on Jesus Christ’s eternal status depends on the point of reference used:
JESUS
Multiverse
Universe
Created (Organized)
Uncreated
He is uncreated from the point of view of the finite universe, but from the view of the infinite Multiverse, he and all of us were created in the sense of having self-existing intelligences organized into spirit offspring (the “pearl” that is our spirit, is formed around the “grit” that is our uncreated intelligence) [see MORMONISM: Section 1]. This occurred while we were in the pre-existence. How could Jesus create the universe if he didn’t exist prior to the Big Bang?
