Early transistor radios are quickly making the transition from throw-away items to very collectable. As tube (valve) sets become more expensive, and out of the reach of many would-be collectors, people are beginning to find these sets are a worthy collectable. This web site shows transistors as diverse as the very rare Toshiba 9TM-40 , the unusual Panasonic Panapets, to the "Pentium PC Sayota" found in many discount stores. Some are exclusive to Australia, others were marketed the world over. The prices that are shown with some of the sets are estimates of what "should" be attainable. They are put there only as a guide, NOT a price list. |
